We couldn t be more excited to talk about the new Game of Thrones spinoff, House of the Dragon. We get to learn the entire history and backstory of the infamous Targaryen house. With George R. R. Martin s incredible writing, backed up by the dedicated cast and crew, we re definitely in for a ride.
In this video, we ll be talking about everything from how the dragons were shot, to the unfortunate on-set injuries that this powerhouse of a cast pushed through. There are so many incredible locations the show was shot in, it makes sense that they would have magnificent set-pieces to match we re looking at you, King s Landing.
Not only do we have the pleasure of exploring unique and stunning locations in England, but they also take a trip to European countries like Spain and Portugal to capture quite a few moments. One thing George R. R. Martin shares with us was that this story was inspired by actual history.
House of the Dragon was inspired by a generational, familial war after the fall of Henry I. We get to see a ton of actual, historical references peppered throughout the season. We re not totally sure, but we think all the wigs fall under iconic historical moments. You d be surprised just how long these actors spend in the makeup chair because of them.
