I have a theory that the time travelling superheros going after Loki in the past (for whatever reason, end up letting Loki know the events that will happen between his present and the time travelers' present, including that Thanos kills him. Loki, following his hidden motivation (I think that it is that he actually cares what happens to Thor and the other Asgardians; he grew up as one of their princes after all, and knowing that Thanos would eventually get the Infinity Stones even without his help, decides to become a quadruple) agent. He stays true to his hidden motivation, plays the ally to Thanos (but not really, plays the villain against the Avengers (but not really, and armed with foreknowledge fakes his death against Thanos. With, I guess it would be called flashbacks, there would be a reveal that Loki had been undermining Thanos power (eg. decimating Thanos' Chitauri army) while appearing to try to do Thanos bidding against the superheros of Earth, gathering needed information for, and laying groundwork for Thanos' post-snap defeat. An ally against Thanos, who plays the villain, who can't reveal himself; well, not until after Thanos thinks that he has won.
Loki, from Norse mythology, is the god of trickery and deception, but is not synonymous with evil. He has aided and saved the other Norse gods multiple times, but has also acted maliciously against them. The MCU Loki is seen as a supervillain, but has also acted in ways decidely non-villainous; MCU Loki's motivations has seemed to me to change rather easily, indicating that Loki is letting (or maybe encouraging) others to assume what his real motivations are.

Loki is the god of mischief, not the god of evil. The theories casting him in league with or disguised as Thanos aren-t in character for Loki. I also doubt he-s the behind-the-scenes hero either. All along the motive for his wrongdoing is his desire for glory; he just doesn-t want to do the work until he realizes how important Odin, Thor and Asgard are to him. I think he very much would work toward overpowering Thanos, but I think he and Dr. Strange have collaborated along the way to do it. After A4, I predict Loki is back up to some tricks while Thor and the Asgardians set up camp in Norway.

Here's my new theory about Loki's death. Well, of course Loki didn't die, but can he fool Thanos with an illusion? the answer is NO, then who died at the hand of Thanos? my answer is (The Actor aka Matt Deamon) in Loki's costume as he was one of the survivors on the ship ( in my theory) and Loki just gave him the look and convinced him to do the scene of his life, and he just stayed hidden in the shadows, but then how could he survive the explosion? well, if Thor can survive it what makes him doesn't? duh. ( I have another theory but it's less likely and seems far-fetched) comment if you wanna hear it.

I dont mind the idea of Loki being Pan or something, but I HATE Thorki. It is really creepy to me tbh. They have a brother relashionship and grew up thinking they were biological brothers, even though they are technically not. It is basically saying that it okay for adopted brothers to date and stuff because they are not related. Disgusting.

I like this theory.
Imagine, in Avengers 4 Thor is fighting with a stranger who is wearing a mask. They fight for awhile until the mask falls off. The stranger turns to Thor, his face stern and void of emotion. Thor is speechless, and then is whispers, -Loki? -
And he ruthlessly answers:
-Who the hell is Loki? -

He literally held the infinity stone gauntlet in the comics
I don-t believe that a little neck snap would kill him because he-s so much stronger than that
He also is the god of mischief so why would he think that a little knife would kill thanos
He has a plan and he-s not dead
He just needs thanos to think he is

If Loki didn't give the stone to Thanos, then Thanos wouldn't be processed to get the rest of the infinity stones, especially the time stone, and Loki's goal is to let Thanos do all the hard work then he will reverse what happened to Asgard.

If he dies how the actual god Loki died, I will never be the same. Loki is chained up in a cave with acid slowly dripping off the top of the cave and everytime he screams, there is an earthquake because his scream is so loud.

What I think is:
For infinity war they had fake scripts so we know they don-t want any leaks. Why would they leak whole filming scenes? So I think the filming scenes are fake ones to throw us off.
