Top 10 Superheroes Who Gave Up LlorDrei: Louise Grant, the Blonde Phantom, was a non-powered superheroine working in the 1940s and 1950s against various spy rings, escaped war criminals, and various low-powered villains. She eventually retired from superheroing to become a housewife, and a legal secretary, during which time she convinced her boss to hire Jennifer Walters, the She-Hulk, for the firm. During her tenure as She-Hulk's secretary, she gained insight into Jennifer's fourth-wall breaking powers, and always hoped that someday the writers would re-imagine her and her husband as they had been in the 40s and 50s. It is unknown if she still possesses that knowledge, or not.

The Amazing Spider-Man #50 (-Spider-Man No More! -) should've been added. It was considered a landmark story.
Enjoyed the Shogun Warriors comic myself. Far better than Voltron.
Technically, Nick Fury can also be added; after the events of 1989's Nick Fury Vs. S. H. I. E. L. D. miniseries (where SHIELD had been infiltrated & compromised by Hydra, Nick personally recommended the deactivation of the original version of SHIELD.

Angelica Jones, Firestar, gave up being a superhero after the Superhuman Registration Act came into law, being one of the few mutants on earth who still retained her powers after Scarlet Witch altered reality and erased the powers of the majority of the Earth's mutants. She eventually resumed the role in Marvel Divas, but, until that point, she was officially retired from superheroing.

Captain America's essentially retired per decade when Steve Rogers faces a crisis of conscience.
Cap is like Superman in the sense he's a Boy Scout; he's too idealistic at times.

Question to all, In Doomsday Clock, how many of us were looking forward to that conversation between The Comedien and The Joker? Was I the only one.

So you left out the most iconic -giving up- cover of all time: Spiderman walking away from his life, with his costume left in a trash can.

Wasn't there a classic issue of spiderman where he gave up? Something about him being in an alley way and his costume dangling from a garbage can.

Superheroes who became villains and/or vice versa. Please give higher score to those who stayed on the opposite of their original.

I agree, martian manhunter should get his own movie. Please do more videos with him, because he's one of my favorite superheroes.
