These movies aren t all necessarily bad, but could have been stronger had the casting department made some different choices. . Our countdown of the times one actor destroyed a movie includes Jared Leto, John Travolta, Keanu Reeves, and more! Which movie do you think was dragged down by one performance?

I'll give Sofia a pass as the roll was supposed to go to Wynona Ryder who had to pull out 3 weeks before shooting began. Francis should've found someone else.
Keanu REALLY ruins Dracula for me, his accent and acting is far worse than Costner's in Robin Hood.
And lastly, I didn't mind Jared's attempt to put a new & different spin on the Joker but the entire movie was a mess so don't blame him for everything.

I love BRAM STOKER S DRACULA. It might be my favorite R-rated horror movie. However, if they had cast Johnny Depp as Jonathan Harker as originally planned instead of Keanu Reeves, it could ve been SO MUCH BETTER! Also, the narrator Matt pronounced Bram Stoker s last name as Stroker. Yeesh!

I think Kate Capshaw gets unfair criticism. She did what the role required of her, to be over the top annoying dumb blonde. And she has no purpose other than to bring comedy and light in a otherwise very scary dark movie that did not need to be that dark!

Keanu Reeves did in no way destroy Bram Stoker s Dracula.
Sure, his british accent isn t very convincing, but he gave a fine performance as Jonathan Harker.
It s so over played to piss on that particular role. Get over yourselves.

My family absolutely loves The Suicide Squad movie but the weird thing about watching the movie every time is that my dad likes Jared Leto as the Joker while I hate him as the Joker each time we it.
reply

I love Temple of Doom and I have no issue with Capshaw's character. She gets judged too harshly, same as Shia in Crystal Skull. Take out the vine swinging part and he did fine

So. let me get this straight. You're pretty much saying, with Elizabeth Berkeley's inclusion on this list, that her acting was the ONLY thing wrong with Showgirls. Um. okay, sure.

The title Top 10 Times an Actor Destroyed a Movie is a bit of an overstatement. A more aptly named title would be Top 10 Times An Actor s Performance Stuck Out Like a Sore Thumb.

Can someone please explain why I thought _Suicide Squad_ was a good movie on my first viewing? I ll never forgive myself for it. Jared Leto hasn t anything on Heath Ledger.

This guys annunciation reminds me of the old dog man from the purge episode of Rick and Morty especially during the Snow White and the huntsman part lmao

Given that Sofia Coppola won for writing or directing movies but I cannot stand watching her act! She ruined the Godfather trilogy her acting was terrible!
reply

Leto wasn't that bad.
Movies can also be destroyed by the actor's off screen behavior (turd, ezra, k. Stewart, Travolta making a scientology movie)

Kristen Stewart has always been a terrible actress and I have never understood how she keeps getting cast in movies. She has zero facial expressions

5: 45 - I liked Willie Scott. I didn't see her merely as a damsel in distress, but more of a comedy relief that I found was essential to the movie.
reply

Keanu's Jonathan felt more like Theodore Logan putting on an intentionally goofy British accent rather than a genuine attempt at a serious portrayal.

02: 38 I can HEAR myself Ahhh, so that's where The Future Sound of London took the sample from. The film Scanners. I think I'm a bit afraid.
reply

The guys narration is so annoying. The emphasis he puts on the end of every sentence makes me want to stick toothpicks in my ears.
reply

I actually think Dracula was fine, Keanu didn t do a bad job acting the part I don t see why everyone gives him a hard time about it.
reply

People forget that sometimes the director gets exactly what they want, like leto. The part was weird, but he acted it well
reply

I won t say the movie was bad, but Kate McKinnon in Yesterday is a reason why I won t rewatch that movie if I had the chance to
