I feel that Domon vs Master Asia should have been much higher on the list because of the emotional impact the final fight between them held. Also, how could Team Dai Gurren vs Anti-Spiral not be number 1? the Anti-Spiral use an attack that is literally quoted to be on par with the birth of the universe in terms of sheer power. I'm not complaining about number 1 being a Gundam battle, its just that Gurren Lagann's last battle literally had them fight on a galaxy.

I am commenting before watching so let it be heard, I will put the pet in petty if gurren Lagan isn t number one. It s literally the most epic situation any one could possibly be in. You think you ve seen a battle with bigger stakes? There isn t one. It literally keeps going until they have to fight god himself in a robot literally bigger than entire galaxies. They throw galaxies around as weapons guys. Galaxies!

Cool list. I think what I would have added are Gundam Thunderbolt. The MS fight in the city in Hathaway with how epic and to-scale it all felt. And Eureka's introduction as the Iron Maiden in Hi-Evolution 3. From the sequence of her mech dropping from orbit to putting the enemy mechs in their place. It was one hell of a scene.

Personally woulda thrown at least one G-Witch fight up there. Both Aerial vs Grassley and Aerial Rebuild vs Calibarn are fantastic fights.
Also, while Lancelot Albion vs Galahad is a great debut showing off how OP it is, gotta say overall the fight has nothing on the climactic Lancelot vs Guren showdown, c'mon.

I would say that the Air Raid in Gundam Hathaway deserves a place on this list for the sheer scale and weight of the mecha it portrayed along with its impacts on the civilians. But as a longtime Gundam and mecha fan, I would have put Norris vs Shiro at the top of my list as well!

Barbatos vs Hashmal may be a great fight in all of IBO but I think Mikazuki vs Carta Issue or Mikazuki's last stand are still the best of the best. The former started tekkadan's true mission while the latter signifies the end they have all been looking for.

Never been a mecha fan tbh, but Voltron was the only one(if considered anime that I ever really enjoyed) also code Geass! As the concept is really similar to deathnote(which is my favorite anime) if u remove the Mecha part!

I don t know about the number one pick.
I mean the battle was great don t get me wrong, but it s not better than the sheer badassery that is the Dai Gurren team s final battle, but that s just me.

So many fantastic mech battles here but I want to give spotlight to setsuna and ribbons' final battle in 00 going from 00 gundam vs reborns to exia repair 2 vs 0 gundam, it was absolutely epic.

I have to hand it to Sunrise & Gainax, they definitely knew how to put on a show involving mecha battles, especially when some of them have beautiful, fluid, & detailed animation.
