Yeah, Nioh 2 is well chosen. A much better developed combat system than Souls, while putting you into absolutely ferociously unfair encounters. And yet, through it all, it never loses that super-addictive quality of Let me try one more time, If I just do. Combine that with the nigh-instant loading screens and really short boss runbacks the game never feels unmanageable.
And if that wasn't enough, there's a ton of new game+ states + a 999 level dungeon that gets dramatically harder as you descend. This game has builds and all, and you WILL have to use them to survive in the harder difficulties.

I'm not a masochist with a lot of free-time, but Remnant 2 is dope. Loved the first one, had no idea it was a Souls-like game though considering how boring I found those in comparison. Sekiro seemed cool, but grinding a couple hours at the very start instead of being able to explore like in Ghosts? A challenge is fine, but those with careers might find them a bit harder to tackle

Nioh 2's difficulty is the most unbalanced and unfair garbage I've ever seen.
It's like team ninja designed the entire game with screwing over the player in mind and nothing else.
Most articifially difficult game ever.
Wo Long is way better is this regard.
team ninja needs to do a much better job next time.

Lies of P should be much much lower on the list. The demo was brutal but it's got easier with every patch. The last patch made it way too easy.
Surge 2 isn't difficult at all. The first game should be in its place

Nioh 2 is the Super Meat Boy or I Wanna Be The Guy of the entire Soulslike genre.
Makes Dark Souls look like Hello Kitty Island Adventure and not in a good way.
Team Ninja needs to get their shit together for real.

Wo Long is incredible. Lies of P is definitely on this list but can also be seen as something else, which is good as it helps get people into it. I hope one day we get a new Nioh just like a new Ninja Gaiden!

I agree nioh 2 is probably the hardest game on this list but wo long is too high that's probably the easiest souls like i played and if you they played fallen order on the hardest difficulty it will be way higher

Lies of p is truly a souls like game. Its similar to bloodborne in a way and i am still waiting for bloodborne 2 but lies of p is such a great game. I wonder if they'll do a part 2.

Nioh 2 is definitely my favorite souls like game. I love how fast-paced it is compared to a lot of the other games that feel sluggish.
