Top 30 Video Games of the Decade

I've played more than 25 of these games, I disagree with some of them like MGSV or BOTW, other I don't agree with the order like the stellar Smash Bros or RE2 Remake.
But one thing I can say, I am more than happy to finally have played so many great games. Now my TV has died and I need to go back to work, that probably involves starting over in a different country.
But for you out there, craving for time or resources to finally get done what you really want to do I want to say: keep it up man. The sun will shine again.

There are some pretty noticeable omissions from thus list. But I'll just mention one game that literally changed video games entirely. Fortnite! Where is Fortnite! How many vudeo games have parody sketches or 3 million dollar events What game had been consistently updated for over 6 years now, usually oh a weekly basis! Sure we had Witcher 3, pubg, any many other commissions, but this one just seems downright criminal. You out ff 16 and overwatch on here, but no fortnite or pubg or xcom or warzone or just. ugh

Super Mario Odyssey was way too low. DOOM Reboot could have been higher. MGSV was way too high, it was a disapppointing game. A lot of games here I didn't care that much either.
One big thing: no 3DS games at all I would have put Zelda A Link Between Worlds on the list. 3DS was the best gaming platform around 2013-2016 and ALBW was the crown jewel of that little machine. Fire Emblem Awakening was incredible, too.

FF XVI made it, but not the superior Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Holy crap the Western bias is so obvious.
The Witcher 3 no1 Just no. The mediocre combat, and it was a complete mess when it was released. Speaking of, Baldur's buggy mess Gate 3 no3
Spiderman 2, but no Mario Wonder What a load of horse crap. You've had some bad, clunker lists before, but this one takes the cake. WTAELF!

How in the hell Yakuza 0 and/or Lost Judgment isn't on this list is beyond me. Both games have excellent stories, gameplay, voice acting, and soundtracks, as well as a ton of side stories and mini games including arcade games like Virtual Fighter 5, Hang On and Outrun. Both of these are not only the best games in the overall awesome Yakuza/Judgement series but masterpieces in their own right imho.

I call it criminal intent that Mario Odyssey and Smash Ultimate fall short of the Top 10, as well as Monster Hunter World (or Rise) not even being mentioned not to mention God of War 2018 enlisted instead of Ragnarok, or Breath of the Wild instead of Tears of the Kingdom. (BotW and GoW 2018 were still great games, but their sequels arguably beat them out)

If we're talking about between 2020 and 2024 so far, my favorite game of this decade so far is Hades. But, if we're talking about between 2015 and 2024. Witcher 3 fuxkin sucked, it's the type of game you'll beat once or twice in your lifetime, you'll put it back in the shelf. and never touch it again, straight trash. how it got ahead of all these games that are better is beyond me when many of these are classics where as w3 will never be one.

Rdr2 should be atleast top 7. that video game made a grown man cry, CRY FOR GODSAKES. not to mention how immersive and detailed the open world is, i could spend hours just watching the landscape and hunting to get a better vest without even doing any of the quests and I loved it

Eck, baldur's Gate 3 I see as by far, the worst of the series. The plot had had to be created just for the game, and turn-based combat and visible dice rolling were actually ADDED, slowing things down badly
I think remaking Baldur's Gate 2 would have been a better game

As much as I love the Witcher 3 and RDR2. I have Hades as my favorite game of the decade. Hades brought back that excitement and addictiveness that I felt was missing in gaming. Till this day I still play Hades. Seriously can’t wait for Hades 2 to release!

I played very far into Witcher 3 and then trailed off and never finished. meant to go back but never did. Got past the battle at the castle and sneaking aboard a royalty ship forget what else after that. Great game, but #1 in the list Shocking
