Rating: 4.0; Vote: 1
we’ll be looking at the most derided films that have been released (so far) in 2024. Our countdown of the worst movies of the year so far includes Argylle, Miller’s Girl, Madame Web, and more! Did we miss a movie from 2024 (so far) that failed to meet expectations Share your displeasure in the comments below! With the many misses that Sony Pictures has been having with Spiderman and the expanded roster of characters I'm under the impression that Sony should just give up on Spiderman and allow Marvel to reclaim the rights to him. The good films that involved spiderman that was involved with the MCU were CA: CW, The Homecoming trilogy, Avengers Infinity War & Endgame. Venom was good overall and keep Hardy as Eddie Brock. That being said, Sony is trying to do what the MCU is, but just with Spiderman. Don't get me wrong, I like Spiderman and especially the villians, but its the writing & directing that make Spiderman good and Sony is just not doing themselves any favors if they continue to waste money on something that people can tell just by the trailers that it's going to be not good to laughable.

The website's critical consensus reads, Funny, refreshingly brief, and elevated by the chemistry of its three leads, The Marvels is easy to enjoy in the moment despite its cluttered story and jumbled tonal shifts. [135]

Closest to Inhumans- Secret Invasion- The review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes reported an approval rating of 53%, with an average score of 6. 1/10, based on 197 reviews. The site's critic's consensus states: A well-deserved showcase for Samuel L. Jackson, Secret Invasion steadies itself after a somewhat slow start by taking the MCU in a darker, more mature direction.

The WORST of MCU-Inhumans-The review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes reported an 11% approval rating, with an average rating of 3. 70/10 based on 47 reviews. The website's consensus states, Marvel's Inhumans sets a new low standard for the MCU with an unimaginative narrative, dull design work, weak characters, and disengaging soapy melodrama. Reviewing the season, Matt Liparota of Destructoid concluded, Inhumans is a work with almost nothing of value for anyone. It's not even an interesting train wreck. It's just a boring, lifeless slog easily shooting to the top of the list of the worst things the MCU has produced in its near-decade of existence.
The DC Razzies- Catwoman-On Rotten Tomatoes, the film has an approval rating of 8% based on 197 reviews, with an average rating of 3. 2/10. The site's critical consensus reads: Halle Berry is the lone bright spot, but even she can't save this laughable action thriller.

The website's critical consensus reads: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice smothers a potentially powerful story and some of America's most iconic superheroes in a grim whirlwind of effects-driven action.

Lisa Frankenstein wasn’t bad, it’s still a good movie. I think it should get a cult classic after the film underperformed at the box office. Argylle wasn’t bad, it was mid at best. I agree with the stilted writing and poor dialogue, but Henry Cavil, Sam Rockwell, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Samuel L. Jackson deliver great performances. I know the reviews aren’t great and it’s not for everyone, but if you love Matthew Vaughn and his style of action movies, go for it and enjoy Argylle. Probably just wait for a rental.
It’ll be Kraven time Lame. It should’ve been said: Kraven or bust when compared to Sony’s incompetence with the SSMU spinoffs that is only prefer for Venom only. There’s no way in hell that you’re going to make a Sinister Six movie because it ain’t gonna happen.

Wow. Slow down, Watch Mo and Mo and Mo Mojo. We know that you are under a tremendous amount of pressure to churn out a certain number of videos per day, quality be damned, but you have to put more thought into it. The worst movies of ANY year are saved for January and February, and this time it's coming on the heels of writers and actors striking. When you choose to insult the intelligence of your viewers, you choose to lose.

I left early through Madame Web. When I saw her teleport from one part of a car, in the accident scene, to inside the car in the next. I just left my chair, went to the front desk and asked if there's any chance for a refund. The guys there were awesome and say yes since there where tons of people asking for their money back on premiere day. Meh. Was just a horrible mess of no story, no action and no continuity.

Lisa Frankenstein may have bombed at the box office but I wouldn't consider it as one of the worst movies of the year. It's not for everyone but the ones who like it, REALLY like it. It's going to be future cult classic like Jennifer's Body, which wasn't a hit on release but gained a cult following on subsequent years.

MADAME WEB is like an Oscar winner compared to the other six movies in this list. It’s not as bad as everyone says it is. It’s like a 6 out of 10 type of movie. Also, when Ryan said that maybe it’ll be Kraven time later this year, I hope he meant that hopefully KRAVEN THE HUNTER will fare much better.
reply

This makes me wonder who rates movies anyways because it seems like everyone could rate every movie that they watched as rating movies is subjective. Also it seems as though rating movies is the easiest job that anyone can do as it doesn't require any education or skills whatsoever.

How in the f--- Night Swim could get green lit in mind-boggling. Every haunted house cliche, lame jump scares, almost no deaths, and a ridiculous plot with holes you could drive a dumptruck through. Blumhouse needs to be better than this.
reply

Not surprised by any of these failures. Especially Madame Web. I'm still laughing about that one. It was very clear in the trailer Madame Webb was gonna suck.
I did have high hopes for Argylle because, like you said, the great casting.

reply

this 2nd noname movie wanted to copy or recreate, get influenced or whatever by Edward scissor-hands so much, that they chose some actor who looks almost exactly like Johnny Depp from the side 2: 21, also he carries his sad expression.
reply

Argyle was about the writer of the manly cool spy, not the cool spy himself and people somehow convinced themselves Cavill would be the movie's lead. Hollywood should pay more attention to what the paying customers want to actually see.
reply

It's not really fair to do this until at least April. There's only been like 20 movies out for the first seven weeks or this year, and of course most of them suck-- it was freaking January! That's the dumping ground for studios.
reply

madam Webb isn't this awful movie wall you incels are making it out to be. if this were 3 male superheroes in the exact same movie it would not be getting this type of backlash. I get it, women scare the crap out of you.
reply

Is it just me or are these modern young Hollywood Women kind of Lifeless, pale, just. Faces! A Paramedic looking like a Model, a young teacher looking like a model. Next step is complete AI. Hollywood is drying itself out.
reply

Argylle was great, I quite enjoyed it.
Was bored by the Madame Webb trailer. Completely uninterested
Night swim got very creepy and I was slightly traumatised by it
It just took a little while to get off the ground

Whoever first allowed Snoop Dogg to be in movies, did audiences and Hollywood a great diservice. Unless he’s portraying himself, he might be the worst box office poison of all time

So far. I only have 4
4. Float
3. Role Play
2. Night Swim
1. Madame Web (if that Megamind sequel ends up being being worse, I might as well lose hope in humanity)

I like Kathryn Newton as an actress but her agency put her in some of the worst movies I have ever watched. Lisa Frankenstein, Paranormal Activity 4, Ant-Man 3, Freaky and Blockers.
