A quit place is terrible movie spoiler alert. Once i seen one killed by a simple shot gun blast it made the whole thing a joke. I though the creatures was hard to kill that is how they took over but if u can kill one with a shot gun then it totally kills the threat. What i mean by this is there creatures that blindly run to sound think about it. The creatures might have been terrible the first couple weeks they show up. Soon as it was widely learned they they can be killed an rush to sound the would have been the end of it. The creatures would more then likely be destroyed with in the first month they showed up. The military has some serious sound weapons that can stop u dead in your tracks an make u vomit from quite a distance. Sorry but i was very disappointed by the end of that movie blind creatures whom rush to noise an are that easy to kill would never be able to fully take over like that. All u got to do to kill them is fly drones with explosives to kill them. That is one of like a billion ways u can attract them to there death this simple fact kills the whole plot of the movie dead.

I loved Terrifier, and hated Terrifier 2. There shouldn't have even been a sequel, the best part of the original is how they don't really explain anything about Art, who he is, where he came from, and why he's doing anything. Mystery is key in slasher movies, the more we know about the killer, the less scary they become.

What I love about the Terrifier brand:
The 80s aesthetic, despite everything being set in modern day.
The practical special effects.
Jumpscares are used sparingly.
Art, as one person described it, has all the personality of Freddy Krueger or Chucky, but is also as silent as Jason and Michael.

Every movie on here has the year the first movie came out, then the last. Not Terrifier though, some douchebag at WatchMojo had to bend the rules of the video just to show he's so edgy and cool and knows a movie Art appears in before; that any horror fan already knew.

It is one of my favourite franchises, both the 90's miniseries and the 2010's update. The acting from the kids is stellar all around, and I love how there isn't many jump scares, but most of the horror is based around growing up.

What american united states scary movies horror movies are banned in other countries through purchases of mobil devices watch mojo gave me an answer before non these movies though never rivalved harry potter in sales of books

Question: Is it really a franchise if it only has two entries I can understand a trilogy or 4 films, but should 2 films (original and sequel) be considered a franchise I'm honestly unsure. Please correct me if I'm mistaken: )
reply

As much as I love it, Underworld is not a horror franchise, it's a dark action. Just because it has vampire and werewolves in it doesn't make it horror by default. There isn't even anything scary in it.
reply

Whoever thinks terrifier is a horror movie, it's not. It's a wannabe grind house flick that has no purpose or plot and dulls out with gore. Gore isn't a saving grace without reason in a horror movie
reply

Jason and Freddy ruled the horror community in the 80s, but became less scary and more cheesy later on. But Art The Clown and Bughuul are the best horror icons in modern times.
reply

The best modern horror Then why Terrifier is on the list Joke aside, I really tried to like it, but besides the actor who portrays Art, the acting in these movies are so bad.
reply

I watched resident evil when it first came out and I was 8, the elevator scene in the beginning traumatized me so bad I was terrified of elevators for the longest time
reply

Im suprised terrifier is so low on this list. The series is highly praised for its horror and gore and Art The Clown has become the most popular horror icon in modern times.
reply

The Resident Evil franchise, Saw, and the Conjuring are some of my favorites, except for Welcome to Raccoon City. That movie was just absolutely awful.
reply

So basically if you want a successful franchise, get James Wan involved. He even made Fast and Furious 5, the one most think is the best in the series.
reply

Terrorfier series are so good and not to mention funny at the same time being so gross and over the top! Underworld 1-3 were also a pretty good time.
reply

Watchmojo forgot to mention that in addition to the Insidious and Conjuring franchises, James Wan is also the creator of the Saw franchise.
reply

The SAW Franchise - What makes these movies really terrifying is if someone was as smart as Jigsaw they could pull his traps off in real life.
reply

Im happy grudge made it on the list. This is the second most popular japanese horror cult classic right behind the ringu and deserves more love
