So many good suggestions but the list is specifically middle fingers type characters from the get go. So people like rimuru, kirito, and Makoto and hajime can't make the list. They get there, but they got to work to get there.
Ains is close but still needs to get help so misses out. Masayuki from reincarnated as a slime and kasuma don't count either, luck is great but doesn't lead to them always being the biggest. It just puts the right person, in the right place, at the right time.
Alucard is the closest suggestion, but I say he misses out due to Integra and her power checking. If he was always at restriction 0 then he makes the list, but as is, I think he misses out.
I think there are a lot of good options that fail cause they have to build up to bbeg and bbgg status

Is it possible that the writers made Ash too overpowered after his battle with Paul that they had to immediately come up with a character we have not seen until league stacked with a legendary and a mythical, just for Ash to lose I’m proud of Heracross, Gible, and Sceptile putting in work against Darkrai, but I still firmly believe Snorlax should’ve been a priority alongside Heracross, since Heracross is Bug/Fighting WITH SLEEP TALK and Snorlax is already asleep and isn’t easily provoked (and when he is, it’s almost always game over.

do better research Ho asakura was trying to become the shamen king since his second reincarnation, but he was prevented from doing so and killed. he then waited till his third and got an early start as a baby. also in both the anime and manga he DOES become the shamen king but his brother and company keeps ho in line. And for Yogiri Takatou, he always HAD his instant death ability, he didn't need to go to another world to get it. please do proper research before posting things

I swear that anime writers write themselves into corners so bad that consistency sometimes don't mean shit and they pull nonsense out of their asses too easily. I like shounen anime, but when it turns into how-to-be-Dragon-Ball-Z, I kinda just deal with it. I need some sensible consistency when it comes to characters being overpowered. I think that even Naruto arguably did it in a way that's almost fair in some story beats.

I feel like Shanks from OP should've made this. We still don't know his entire true potential after 1000 episodes and like 20 damn IRL years. We got a glimps of it not too long ago, dude is stopping WARS with his PRESENCE. Dude is making Admirals sweat by him looking at them. Dude is making people cower in fear with jusy his Haki a whole ISLAND away

One of my biggest problems with Detective Conan is that everyone around Conan is a master of a martial arts while he just plays soccer really well. Ran with Karate, Heiji with Kendo, Kazuha with Akido, Kogoro with Judo and now Sera with Jeet Kun Do. What does Conan do, he kicks soccer balls into people's faces.

Glad to see Shaman King on the list one of my fav moments in anime is from the last arc from the OG anime and there is a full storm going on and they say smth like he is so powerful not even nature itself can touch him and u can see how he just walks in the storm like its a sunny day.

How about Ryuga from the Metal Saga of Beyblade
It took a literal god to stop the Dragon Emperor, and it even didn’t look like L-Drago was losing steam. It was spinning at roughly the same speed and only wobbled for like two seconds.

I think an honorable mention should be given to Kiyotaka Ayanokoji of Classroom of the elite for his inhumanly high levels of natural talent and sheer ability. We still have yet to see him FULLY go all-out with his true ability.

Surely Alucard is on this list he was always OP on Hellsing he literally killed a entire army covering all of Britain. And Dash the Stampede was pretty OP for Trigun as well. But Saitama will be top 3 on the list
