Did people actually believe the stories that Dylan made up on the way he grew up He did have a few very different and interesting life stories. He was a story teller and never did much care to talk to the media although telling stories was his greatest asset. I am sure making up stories to make his life sound more interesting than it was is not surprising since one of his idles was Wood Guthrie.

reminds me of Dixon in Rebelled. He hid the fact that he was filthy rich by humility, but since he was from Colombia, his classmates assumed that he was really poor. he knew it when a gril came to him saying that he must have seen it all in his neighborhood. He was taken aback but did not correct her. he just went along with it.

It's so weird for people to try to glamorize a struggle life. It's a slap in the face to people who really are at the bottom and trying to come up to use it as a persona to see more relatable.
