Hair washing hacks that will save your hair Essuna: Nailed all the answers! That makes me ridiculously happy I know income and prices in the US are different but I find 25 USD for 8 oz (250 ml) kind of expensive. I think the most important thing, more than price, is that the ingredients are natural and that the shampoo and conditioner has no sulfates and parabens which damage the hair. It's not about having a thousand super amazing ingredients, it more like having a few good ones and not the bad ones. I buy my shampoo and conditioner from a small start up (I guess that's how you call it) from my country and I bought both shampoo and conditioner for 13 USD, it has 3 active ingredients, coconut derived cleaning agents and natural preservatives and both products are very good and gentle to the hair. The most important part in choosing a product is looking out for the right ingredients.

Just wondered if this is wrong or right to do, Just I once heard/read and then been doing since is just to be washing your hair at the warm/lukewarm temp. and just when uv finished either right after or right her before get out the shower/bath is to just give your hair one last rinse just for few seconds with cold water just so as to close the hair cuticles? just the same concept as when you wash your face with how you're meant to give your face a final splash of cold water after having washed it using warm/lukewarm water so as to close your pores after they've been opened up with the washing process. Love From Scotland xxxx p. s. I just don't believe most people are washing their hair with warm/lukewarm and are just doing it with the temp. they have their shower set to and that is defo not warm/lukewarm for sure. xxxx

do you have to leave shampoo in for any amount of time or do you just put it in your hair and immediately wash out?
do you think there is a benefit to double shampooing your hair? I read online this was recommeded to get all of the excess oils out.
How do you feel about hair syrums or dry shampoos?
When is the best time to brush your hair? Should you brush before a shower, while in the shower, after a shower, when the hair is dry?
And what is the best method for drying hair? Do you recommend air drying or blow drying or is there some other method that is best to mimize damage or frizz?

Okay, I know this video is almost 3 years old, but it legit helped me so much. I kept having problems with feeling like my hair is so oily and greasy and I didn't understand why. Then after watching this, I realized I was using WAY too much shampoo & conditioner and that I've been applying shampoo the wrong way my whole life because no one ever talks about how they wash their hair! Last night, I followed these instructions and my hair feels clean, non-greasy, and non-oily for the first time in months. Thank you so much Brad!

Oh brad, I was with you till you started on about training your hair. I've yet to meet someone in real life that this has worked for. I ended up having to see a derm after trying this (multiple times & multiples ways btw) as my scalp was crying out for help. Some of us are just oily! I'm oily all over not just my hair and its sooo important to clean that from your skin before it build up. Would you tell someone with oily skin not to wash their face or even shower every day?

You didn't say how much conditioner we should use or if we should or shouldn't use a detangling comb or brush in the shower. I have always felt the need to use a lot of conditioner because my hair has always been so tangled regardless of a fresh cut or the type of conditioner I use. Yes, there are some I've found over the years that are definitely better than others and I've added a detangling product after I get out. Hallelujah for that! Thanks for the specificities!

THANK YOU so much for this video i did everythingthat you said (how to was, how much soap, etc) and my hair feels 1000% softer an more hydrated and just amazing. i use to always just put the shampoo on my hole head and kinda like crinckle it (I DON'T KNOW) and I always noticed my roots would be oily but my ends would be. like perfect and after washing like this my hole head of hair is perfect (well not perfect but close enough)

You are so adorable! I like this hairstyle on you the best. But that isn't why I just ordered the items recommended on your quiz. Watched a few of your videos today. Very helpful. I might tweak my hairstyle, too. Just to be sure I'm getting the perfect routine, I chatted with Melissa. She recommended the detox for my itchy scalp. Probably the result of my previously atrocious diet and cheap shampoos.

I have dry thin curly hair. If I wash my hair more than once a week it just gets to dry and fragile. On occasion Ill wash more than that (during travel usually) but never more than every two days.
Once I found out I didnt need to wash more than once a week my hair changed radically, its so healthy!
I also wear a sleep bonnet, no more frizz and no more tangled morning hair.

Is the Nexxus shampoo and conditioner good for platinum blond hair? I got my hair done on June 18 2022 and I have yet to wash it. I am scared to ruin my hair. My hair was dark brown and curly. I don't even know if I lost any of my curls because I had bleach on my hair for 5 hours and yes I had a reaction. I'm ok now but yikes it was bad.

Thing is, my country is a hot humid country in the tropical area. So hot water will make u over heat which is why all hair salons use cold water unless maybe the client requests for warm water which never happens for locals. But I've seen news that tourists are shocked by this and some had went on Karen mode to the salons.

Great tips!
Also important - brush your hair before wetting it, and DO NoT brush the hair while wet.
You can wash the split ends with cold water at the end for elasticity.
For hair that oils pretty fast - is ideal to shampoo every 2 days 3 tops.
Do not put conditioner or mask on roots/scalp!

This helped me so much, my hairdresser always told me that I should scrub my scalp a lot, to the point where it actually hurt and to wash my ends just like that. Following the tips in this video my hair is way less tangled and looks a lot healthier!
