Didn’t completely shave everything but had a pixie with shaved back and sides and a little length on top.
Went progressively shorter after being a ballet dancer with very long hair for most of my life (no need for a bun anymore.
Pixies are a cute way to experiment with different short lengths. Had some really nice versions. Also a few really horrendous cuts from hairdressers who did not know how to cut them though.
After a few bad ones/boredom from not being able to do much with it, I grew it out to a bob. Also discovered my hair is naturally wavy/randomly curly through the process.
Never noticed it because it was always tightly tied, twisted and pinned enough to pull the waves out.
It was a great way to remove damage, have much lighter, easier to manage style with an air dry and a bit of wax to define it.
Don’t really feel like going back to long hair because it’s thick and heavy. Shorter styles, especially as women, are a great way to discover more about yourself.
Also weeded out people who cared a little bit too much about what I did with my body/drew out some surprising reactions from people. Especially toxic gender expectations of women being expected to have long hair, etc.

i shaved all my hair off back in 2017 and i instantly regretted it. so i tried to grow it out for 3 years, and i finally had long hair again, but my hair was SO damaged from bleaching and colouring 10000 times while it was growing out for all those years, so i had to cut my hair short. But i eventually had to shave all my hair off AGAIN because i wanted to bleach and colour my short hair and failed horribly that my hair was gummy (sorry Brad i didn't record that at the time lol, so I had to buzz it off again. still was not a fan of it on me, and it was hard to really own it. so i finally left my hair alone and let it grow out healthy, and fast forward to now i have long hair again, and personally i feel the most confident with long hair. I don't think it's because its the beauty standard brain washing, i think its just the fact that my face just doesn't suit the no hair look. anyways at least i can say i shaved my head twice!

Shaving your head is an interesting and entertaining experiment, when one is lucky enough to know it will grow back. However, it's really not much fun for those who have to shave their heads regularly due to ongoing chronic illness, causing constant recurring hair loss without hope of cure. When people are very ill regularly, they long for days when they can feel 'normal', or just feel like themselves. Hair, although a minor detail healthwise, takes on a huge significance for them, and it's loss can break them, because it makes their pain public and obvious. It leaves them vulnerable. Anyone considering shaving their hair, particularly long hair, could liaise with their local cancer charity, and donate their hair for wigs for cancer and other disease victims. Natural hair wigs are very expensive, and beyond many patients' means. You would be making a real contribution to helping people at a low point in their lives.

I cut my hair down to a level 2 or 3 i think, ages ago when i was just sick of my cute hair, i was dying it all these great colours, cutting it successfully into all these shapes and i'm not even a hairdresser or anything, i kept getting it right, and that pssed me off because i actually prefer it when things are a bit off, so i just chopped it all off, then regretted it hugely and realised that the hair style i like in my life is long af, no layers, i don't like layers on me. What looks best on me however is a collar-bone to jaw-length bob, that's what looks the best. But i just really like my hair really long, i like being able to use it as a scarf when it's cold. But i feel like chopping it it a good thing so the weight can be taken off and it grows better and thicker with more volume, so.

Im a genderfluid transmasc starting my transition, and one of the things I really want to do is shave my hair to a buzzcut but idk if it would suit me. My hair has gotten progressively shorter since the start of the year and is currently a shoulder length red wolfcut with bangs. I like it but I keep cutting my hair shorter and shorter, and after this video I really want to buzz my hair. But I want to wait till I start T because I don't know if it will make my hair grow longer first and then I'll have to redo it and start getting dysphoric. As always thank you for your videos Brad they give me so much confidence by I really love seeing you react. They make my day my inspire me to try out the looks in your videos: )

I thought about it for like 3 years and finally did it in 2020 because it's not like I was seeing anyone lmao. I liked it so much that I kept it shaved for 2 years. However, in November of 2022, I decided I wanted to try not cutting it for 3 years to see how long I could get it. Before I shaved my head I had been getting relaxers since I was 3 so I had never seen my natural hair before and it never grew more than an inch past my shoulders before breaking off. I'm now two years in and have used heat in my hair maybe 3 times 6 months ago it was already at my relaxed length when it was straightened so this time next year we'll know for sure if it was damaged or just a genetic limitation lol

What a coincidence that this video came out! I just buzzed my hair two weeks ago and I love it so much. My friend wanted to buzz it for me for a party we were going to, so I let her. Then she bleached it and dyed it with the hair dye I bought for her to use! I feel so empowered with this haircut and I feel like nothing can stop me when I put my mind to it. Seriously, if you are thinking about buzzing your head, do it, it will be so much fun! It's hair and it will always grow back, especially if you use stuff like rosemary water to help it grow faster. (Just a warning, people will ask to touch your hair A LOT. at least I have been asked that question a lot lol)

I shaved my head when I was in my 20s. If you can imagine, my hair was almost down to my hips; I just had a baby and it wasn’t practical. My hair was always tangly or getting in his hands and they always had formula on them when it happened. It was dry and brittle so I shaved it down to Naomi’s length but dark brown.
I was made fun of by everyone and it wasn’t a great experience for me, but watching this I feel empowered to do it againalso my hair was curly before I shaved it and it became less curly so I’m curious to see if it makes it curly again and I can fix my part!

I've repeatedly thought about shaving my head, tbh. The primary reason I haven't is just cos I'm a fat girl and I don't know if I need to look any rounder, and I'm pretty sure some of my stims have absolutely wrecked my scalp over the years. Also, what if I find out my constant use of headsets has left an actual dent in my head!
Honestly though so many of these people look amazing when they buzz down and I'm very jealous of the confidence - both the initial confidence to do it and the resultant confidence they end up with.

Hi, I'm guessing Brad mondo won't see this, but if he does or any of his fans do we'd be grateful for your replies.
My dad has got very thin hair so he doesn't want to grow it out, but he doesn't want to wear a wig, but I think he'd look great with longer hair, or just hair. Does anyone have any ideas of products or ideas for how to make it thicker, or any videos about why it's ok to wear a wig Also I'm not trying to push him to do something he doesn't want to, he used to have long hair and I want to give that back to him.

I shaved my head 4 years ago and i felt very refreshing, maybe because i live in a hot city, i got some weird looks and i think i didnt look so great but i still would like to do it again.
Growing out the hair is also fun, you get to experiment different lenghts, some are better than others, trimming is key to look like 'i did this to myself' not 'this was a mistake'.
Hair grows fast and you will notice it if you shave your hair. So if you want to do it, do it, plus you save on hair products haha

People feel weird about hair. I bleached mine for the first time for a Halloween costume. With the intent of cutting it off, my hair is 12 inches. And everyone had something to say, that i was honna ruin it, that it wont look good, that i was dumb. They kept thinking i was going for a new look, not just a costume. That my hair exists for more than not caring to cut it.
I said it's just hair and i would cut it with a knife righy here if i didn't need it for the costume more that i thought i would.

i also have done everything under the sun to my hair, but i had always wanted to shave my head. i finally did with my coworker this summer! it was so refreshing. i have thin blonde hair so i think we went to a 3 maybe a 2. but man my hair has grown so much. and yes, lots of awkward stages, and more to come, but its so fun and so worth it. also you save on showers and shampoos and time getting ready hehe c: IF YOURE LOOKING FOR A SIGN THIS IS IT! SHAVE YOUR HEAD! at least once in your life

I’ve shaved my head over 53 years thrice, as I got bored with my natural curls, which I keep short to begin with, but it was liberating each time and a fresh start, and when cancer came, I was confident without hair and knew I was still beautiful. I look and feel fiercer without hair. Saves time and energy for me. I am considering it again because I hating my curl care as it’s finally hit collarbones when it’s wet and sick of the fairy knots.

Shaved my head about 6-7 years ago. Haven't looked back. And when I began chemo and whatever I had left started falling out. No, Stress. My hair has not even grown back since my last chemo session in February. Still. No. Stress. Just rock the bald head. All these gals are gorgeous! We here in LA, do either the head nod or wave when recognizing a fellow bald beauty. Thank you for this video!

I wanted to shave my head for a while now but I decided to wait after my wedding, so I can have a nice pin up hair look on that day with my natural hair colour and everything. But now that you mentioned trying out different hair colours before you shave it all off, I think I gonna postpone the shaving even more so that I can try out black and blond at least p. s I have natural ginger/red/copper hair.

1st girl was so beautiful.
With hair she gave me Manny Santos from Degrassi Next Gen vibes facially (manny had wavey hair season 3 I believe the thong era)
Her shaved result reminded me of Hoops from Flavor of Love, again facially as she often had her hair braided or tight to her head.
Always though both were lovely ladies.
So happy these ladies rocked it.

I am totally with the first girl, the first cut is always the hardest & I have done this several times in the last 5 years, it always nervwracking & the adrenalin after that first cut is freaking unreal. And now that you reminded me my hair getting a bit to long again so time to charge my clippers, thanks for reminding me of this weeks goal of buzzing my hair of.

I always had long hair, but when I turned 40, I decided to shave my head. When I tell you I got so many compliments, at least once a day someone would say they wished they could shave their heads but were afraid they couldn't pull it off. Just do it! Hair grows back and in two years, no one would ever know you shaved your head if you hate it.

My hair is so thick and full, if I were to shave it off I'd probably look like a porcupine while growing it out. I tried above--the-shoulder length when I was around 13 and it was terrible. Have had it boob to waist length since, and even with all that weight it tries defying gravity if I don't blow dry it and tame it down with serums and oils.
