I can understand why the one girl with the really long hair didn't originally want to do the makeover. My Nana is Cherokee Indian and her hair goes past her butt it's so long I've seen her trim her hair maybe 4 times in 21 years. And a lot of tribes it's believed that a person's long hair represents a strong cultural identity. Indigenous people have been forced to cut their hair to fit societies standards. I would have said no too I don't blame the girl she takes pride in her culture.

I disagree I dont think anyone should be forced into doing anything they dont want to the fashion industry is a complete toxic mess am all about body positivity and I just dislike Tyra as a human cause she just seems to tear people down instead of building them up its all about money and they dont care about people feelings all they want are human dolls to dress up and call it there vision of what beauty is

I never watched America's next top model but Tyra is just the absolute audacity. How can you tell someone to abandon their heritage for something temporary.
You're a absolutely charismatic person Brad and I respect you sense of style because I have one. And here's the but. I just can't understand how you would support Tyra in pressurising and straight up gaslighting someone.

Tyra was abusive and was brainwashing the models into believing that they had no rights to their bodies. She was enabling the industry's exploitation of young people. I hated how she'd constantly destroy the will of young men and women who chose to hold onto their desires and their personal image of themselves. NO! A model is NOT a THING to be used by others.

I didn't like Elizabeth the Cherokee girl because of the way she acted for the rest of the season. Who knows if she was set up by edits or not. But I totally understand why she didn't do the makeover. She has beautiful hair that is important to her. They were going to make her hair red and curly so basically they would fry her hair for the shock value.

Eww, Brad, no. They didn't self-sabotage by saying no to makeovers, they showed strength of character in the face of needless peer pressure and outright bullying. Not to mention that honoring your heritage in the one woman's case is way more important than some reality tv show trying to create drama.

This just reminded my why I stopped watching ANTM. The girl was given the choice and decided to decline the makeover to protect her heritage and cultural traditions when it comes to her hair. Tyra you need to check yourself, looking like a disrespectful bully. Yuck

Icy Blonde hair. tf, everyone blind when it comes to the color ice & snow? Call that yellow look rather the African bush color. ffs that's not icy blonde. That's cheap yellow; ripoff for going blonde.

The fact that if you get a make over you can always grow back your natural hair later on n models get so depressed if they don't like it as if its permanent. it really is fascinating to see

I agree with Brad, No real stand outs. The last look you liked was nice but I honestly with her dark hair her eyes sttod out more, so I still perfer the original look

I feel like the hair stylist sucks at their job or somebody just needs to pick better hair color and haircuts that actually work for the girls skin tones and face shape

Maybe I just dont know hair, but ANTM throws the word bob around a lot and then gives them shoulder length hair. Isnt a bob supposed to be short?
