Would suggest for the extensions dryer hack, using a mesh bag that you would normally put your delicates in for washing (you can get big ones, if you do the same thing of making sure they are secure in the bag with ties, it should dry them better then them being in a towel as the mesh bag will allow air to pass through the bag and actually dry the hair instead of only the towel

For the extensions in the dryer hack you could always try to put them in like a bra drying mesh bag that way they tumble but not completely wildly and it's also more breathable than multiple layers of a towel too. I do laundry at my hotel and towels are the WORST when it comes to drying because they're meant to hold in the moisture haha

I actually have used the first one since forever. I only use it when I am washing my face/doing my skin care routine & brushing my teeth. I don't even remember where or how I came up with it. It works for us thick haired gals, but if you have thin hair. it won't hold for very long.

The elastic free pony would be useful for moms. I know i can't find a hairtie sometimes and need to do the dishes and bend over to pick up toys. And OMG i used to wrap my hair around my tank top strap while breastfeeding so the babies wouldn't get their fingers and milk in it.

Maybe try a lingerie washing bag? its for bras and nice panties and other things we dont want to be harmed while washed, So perhaps that would keep the exsentions in one place. They come in many sizes also smaller so maybe the extentions wont tangle and roam around?

Let me hack your extension drying hack. lay the extensions side by side, alternate ends and weaves. Put a second towel on top. Then roll and tie both ends. 15 - 20 minutes on high in the dryer should produce the result you were looking for.

Cant remember who told me, but she said they did the same thing with candles instead of carrots back in the 40s. And I had a friend who used frozen orange juice cans on her curly hair to make it more wavy than curly in the 60s and 70s.

Why cant you put them in a mesh bag to dry them, like you use for your pantyhose or delicates? Thats what I would do if I had extensions. Maybe put them in a pillow case as well and tie or rip up the end to dry the extensions as well.

The towel around the extensions may be a bit much. But get a delicate garment bag, and do the same thing. Lay inside, put on a few ties, toss in dryer. Potentially with some other stuff if you have a dryer with a damp sensor.

For the hair extensions in the dryer, you could place them side by side on the towel lay another one on top and then roll the towel up. Stacking all of them on top of each other will make it take a super long time lol

For the extension instead of a towel try using cheese cloth or muslin and tie it up the way you had it that might help the dryer from thinking it was dry and allow more air flow without the tangles and knots
