I hope people realize he is starting at the roots because this is a mannequin and there is NO heat that escapes from the head. Im surprised he didnt mention this during the video, because he is doing exactly what he tells everyone NOT to do. However, again, this is a MANNEQUIN. Human heads process faster at the root due to heat escaping from the head/scalp. If working on yourself/someone else, please remember to follow normal rule and do the roots last!

There are a couple that you haven't tested here that I have used in the past. Salon Care Prism Lites Violet. I prefer the purple bleach powder over the blue. It might be all in my head. :) And most recently, I used Schwarzkopf Blond Me. I think that's my favorite, so far. Granted, I understand that there are hundreds of products out there and you can't possibly test them all, but I love it when you do these comparison videos! Thank you!

Me and my daughter have been using ion for years all there products. The bleach is super strong so for my daughter 40min is fine and with mine is less time I give mine 37min and get the left I want. There hair dyes are super nice. I have asthma and it's one of the few hair dyes that don't make me feel like I can't breath lol. If you go with ion don't leave it too long and check on it.

I recommend CHI brand developer. It doesn't drip and bleed everywhere. It doesn't irritate the scalp from my experience, never burns me, and its very thick, even with the cheap quick blue powder, it is never patchy and I think its because it insulates creating heat. Im not a professional but I've been dying my hair at home for years and I think the developer matters more than the bleach

This makes me want to bleach my hair again last time I let someone do it my long 24 long hair eventually turned to a pixie thanks to all the damage. This was after extreme deep conditioning and Ph balancing my hair. Two years later my hair is to my shoulders and I miss my pixie/blonde hair. THAT BW Bleach killed my hair and left no prisoner cuticles in its path.

I use the BW2 with 20 and it pulls my very dark brown hair up to a bleach blonde where I dont need a toner and its the only bleach Ive ever used that gives an even color so Ill tolerate the smell.
I used to use Wella and I agree its nice to put in and your hair is soft after but its so patchy I just cant.

the Ion Bright lightener Bright White is probably good for dark or black hair and not for already color or bleached processed hair, damaged hair, weak hair that is not strong hair or thin hair that can like break or fall easy also goes for the Ion Bright Bright White Cream lightener not the powder one

I use the Ion cream lightener and it works FAST. It bleached out old box color like it never existed. I had it in less than 20 minutes and I was ready to rinse. I'd never use it for 45-60 minutes unless you wanted to melt your skull. On virgin roots it bleached them almost white in about 5 minutes.

I love the ion lightner it's all I use just 1 hour is def too long I usually leave it in like 24 25ish mins maybe a little longer when trying to remove tougher colors but I've never had issues with my hair looking/feeling dead and it usually gives us a pretty even lift as well.

Okay, thank you! I tried quick blue and it has not been working for me lately. I bleached my hair in past and dye it black too many times. Now, i cant change the colors anymore. I even used 40 developer, and it's still not working. I will try wella and hopefully it work.

I work at Sallys, Id be curious what you think of other lighteners we sell! For example the cream from Ion, and the AgeBeautiful powder which is supposed to be really good. Quick Blue is definitely the one we sell the most of, if anyone is curious.

I use PrismLites Azul with 30-40volume and it took my hair from black black to platinum blonde. But it also has the built in toner with the blue tones so that helps a ton. I did use a silver toner afterwards because I wanted silver hair.
