I myself, am going to be a Hair dresser, PLUS a fashion designer. I'm moving, but instead of going back to highschool I'm going to a community college to get my GED, because there is a beauty school in the small town I'm going to move to, that will let me go there if I have my GED! I've dyed my hair a few times, but they were all Natrual Color. Brad is my role model! Which I'm sure he's heard before. But I base a lot of my techniques off of what he's tought us in shorts or his full videos.
I just wanted to say thank you, for posting just amazing content. I think about this a lot but. You should make a discord server, that you own (Obviously) and that way if anyone ever needs help with hair, or wigs or anything in that catagory, or just a place for someone like me to feel, appreciated. Well. Appreciated!

Hello cutey Brad! I want you yo know that I put self rising flour in my hair from the video you did on reading instructions from a vintage book. You were talking in the video and was asking why they would put the flour in the hair and then just take it out. I know why! Because flour cleans the hair and it fluffs up afterwards! Then! If you spray mist water on the hair after you do that with your fantastic water spraying bottle, the hair thickens beautifully after scrunching the hair with your fingers! I have very thin hair and it thickens it up just right for me. Brushing the flour out with a boar bristle brush takes the odors out and I can thicken my hair with misting water on it. Yeah! Thank you!

Ok but is it super weird to just slap the next color on top once the previous has faded enough?
Why the need to bleach so much?
Since I can t use bleach anymore (at least the one that s not part of box dye or extremely low % one) I just wait for fade and then do different color or I don t wait if that s like same tonal variation (like all the pinks or purples bc those are my preferred ones)
I had blue/green situations before so all I did was slap either red or very bold pink on it and it just was that color so the old one never came through.
Is that all weird lol?

11: 52 unfortunately I learned recently myself that OOPS does not work on those cool colors. I had manic panic hot pink and lime green and I put on oops and it didn t really work except turned the green a yellower green and the pink more of an orangey pink. When I read the directions for the OOPS it says that it does NOT work on direct dyes it only works on box dye basically. It works on dyes that are mixed with a developer. In the end, I had to rebleach it to get the color out.

If it's just a demi my favorite method is the 50/50 baking soda and sunlight dish soap then wash again with dandruff shampoo. It's less damaging then the vitamin C method but it takes more then once to fade the colour. Also it works even after you've bleached and pushed the colour in deeper. You may have never heard of the baking soda method but baking soda had been removing stains from clothes, skin and teeth for over 200 years why wouldn't it work in the hair shaft?

Love your hair, slick retro. Scarf tied once around the neck and to the side, but add a black tee under the sweater. You re maturing and a more mature look would suit your personality better I believe. In the last couple years you seem to be more confident and introspective which calls for a look that s still showing your fashion edge but in a way that s more sophisticated. My opinion and I m really old but I do have purple hair and tats.

I did baking soda with water the other day. Didn't do much but it did lift the blue side just a tiny bit. One step closer to getting it out. The pink side has almost gone out completely on its own but the blue side is a bit behind. I'm thinking about trying lemon next time. In the end, I always have baking soda and lemon in my home so I don't really lose anything by trying silly projects like that.

It's not the bleach itself that lightens hair, it's the developer. Crystal's roots lightened from the developer she mixed the color remover with. Anything above 10 vol. will lift/ lighten. I wish it would stop spreading that baking soda, vitamin c, and dish soap don't damage your hair. Each of them dries out and damages your hair individually, let alone mixed.

So i have a patch of blonde on top of my head (my haircut is pretty much just an overgrown Mohawk. The literal 5 inch high Mohawk) I plan to bleach everything and turn it maybe. light blue? idk lmao
for context, I have the darkest natural black Asian hair so im kind of hesitant with the color. I might just do pink lmao. For context, im a guy.

I had to learn the hard way. On a whim I dyed my hair bright red. The natural color is grey. I thought using a permanent dye would be the way to go. WRONG! After the first shampoo it turned orange. Second shampoo bright pink. 300 later at the salon my hair is dark blonde. I will be going back for full highlights in another week.

I used to choose my hair color based on the stages it would go through. I always did a warm purple because it always turned to pink and I liked both. I once did blue hair with the knowledge that it would fade to green but unfortunately and oddly enough, it literally just faded as blue until it was my blonde again idk why.

Brad, I had a literal nightmare the other night that you were telling me my hair was overprocessed and badly toned (and in the dream it definitely was, and I woke up so upset before remembering my nightmare hair is not, in fact, my real life hair, which is awesome. So. you got that going for you. Lol

13: 20 But isn't the conditioner going to lower the peroxide % in the mixture? I'm mean it's not going to condition your hair while bleaching but it should make the bleach less harsh my lowering the % of peroxide in the overall mixture. Which I guess cam also be achieved with h2o.
