How to cut layers at home Jordann: Oh, Brad. I went and found a haircut online that I was obsessed with. I went to a salon. ASKED THE WOMAN IF SHE COULD DO THE CUT. She assured me that she's done this for years and that she could absolutely achieve what I was wanting.
FALSE. lmao I left looking like a skater boy from the early 2000's. I'm a 29 year old woman. I don't even know what she thought she was doing. She styled it for me, also not asked for or anything like in the picture that I showed her. It wasn't even obvious how badly she actually fed up my hair, until I got home and washed all the hairspray and products out. I'm so annoyed and it is so ugly. lol Maybe it was because she didn't use the pink comb! UGH

Alright. Love you, Brad but here it comes. I TRIED to follow this tutorial and my hair was like dry by the time I tried to section it like that in the back how in the HECK this tutorial cannot be done alone u need someone to tell you if your parting is even at the very least lol, thankfully while I was in the middle of struggling to part my hair, my friend arrived at my house and helped me section out the back and I was able to cut it myself. My hair looks lovely if I do say so myself, Brad, and I couldnt have done it without you! But god the amount of times I had to rewind to rewatch how you parted the hair so quickly and so perfectly

Thank you so much for this video Brad! I have severe anxiety and cant go to the hairdressers and was getting insecure and depressed about my hair. I got a hairdresser to come to my house 2 weeks ago but I only asked her to thin my hair out because I wasnt coping well with someone new in my house and wanted her to thin it quickly and leave it at that, I was too anxious to get it styled. So I finished my haircut off today with this tutorial and it looks great! I will go to the hairdressers again one day and I will overcome my anxiety, these tutorials are just really helpful for people in my current situation so thank you.

Hi Brad! I've been watching your videos for a long time now, and I love them all. My hair is so long, almost to my waist. I need a good haircut, but cannot afford one right now. I keep the dead ends trimmed away and occasionally give a good trim 1 to 2 inches. My hair is very healthy too, no hair dye in a very long time, almost 5 or 6 years now. My question to you is this, will you be doing any makeovers again? If so, I am very interested.

Why people don't wet it is because when it dries out it shrinks a little bit so when you wet it and cut it it dries up and it's a little shorter then you might want it but I know that for a fact because I used to get my shit cut like that where when I got a fade they would wet my bangs back in the day when it was in and I don't have bangs now it's lined up

Oh Brad! Yesterday I followed your tutorial on cutting layers and OMG! THANK YOU! I had very damaged hair as I dye my hair every two to 3 weeks. Now my hair is so soft and full ( I have thin hair as well. Thank you for teaching me how to layer my hair. Super simple and a beautiful result.

So the optional blending with the thinning shears just DESTROYED my hair. Straight up lines across my entire head. It looked great up until that point, and now my formerly ass length hair is hacked to shit I strongly reccomend no one use the thinning shears. the cut was magic till then.

Originally I wanted to try the tik tok wolf cut. but I'm gonna go with your technique! First I have to let my hair grow out. But when I do it, I'll make sure to record and upload it in the hopes you'll see it: -D (but only when I succeed with it lol,

Lmfao I did this tutorial after watching it several times beforehand and watching as I did it myself. It did not work out for me. I think this is much too advanced for me. It's not a disaster, but I've never done a home haircut so badly before.

As if you just uploaded this. Been watching this over and over to do it on my hair tomorrow! Think Ill start with your other cut method video just for the length, ie do the rubber bands for the length, and then do the layers this way.

I just did this on my hair. When I first cut the first couple of layers, I was like oh no, what have I done. Just trust the process. The layers come together the more you cut and the end result is fabulous. Thank you Brad!

Thank you so much, Brad! This turned out amazing, and I can't thank you enough for doing this video. I kept pausing, rewinding, and watching it again while I was doing it. I am so happy to be able to do this myself now!

This is life saving
Edit: omg i DID IT! My hair looks soo good even tho i cut it myself. Took a couple of hours cuz i was too careful but it was worth it. Now i can't stop looking in the mirror lol.

Thank you for recognizing that not everyone has the means to go to a solon or that some people won't ever want to go to a professional. This type of information is gold to us poor introverts over here
