Love love Brad Mondo but he has to remember black people been doing relaxers for years and we don't do it how others do it yes true you can't use it on bleached hair and you have to know the strength but black don't do it how he does it madame cj walker rip would look at him crazy and she is the queen of perms been doing them way before he was even born nor being mean or disrespectful in any way but we don't do it like that the advice is nice but remember we don't do hair like he does I got perms as a kid just for me and graduated to lusters pink then the olive oil one in the video now just flat iron but he is killing me every time he gets frustrated talking about the parting of the hair and what part to start on I think he's forgetting that these are black women and we need oil on our hair he may be a hair stylist but he can't tell black people how to do their hair

So, I am saving up to actually buy one of your hair dyes. I was thinking of bleaching it first but I am unsure. What do you recommend for virgin hair that is dark My hair is brown but in the winter it gets a bit of a reddish tint to it. I am just wanting to dye it and people actually know I've dyed it. Cause in my 29 years I've only dyed my hair about maybe 4 times. And never done it at home really. The last time I dyed it was maybe 2 years ago and I chopped off a good amount of my hair trying to get over some trauma from when I was a kid.

My grandma did my relaxers as a child up until I was about 13 and olive oil was the tried and true LMAO.
But after she did it my hair was so stiff and heavy and never blew in the wind etc. after I started getting it done professionally it was so light and airy I never knew my hair could shine and be so free flowing like that! So I only let one lady relax my hair now and it has grown so much and is the healthiest it’s ever been and I’m so happy!

What do you mean by don’t apply it to the roots this goes against everything we’ve learned. Lol I remember us doing the roots first because it was the most coarse hair new growth. We never started at the bottom because that hair was already relaxed. Even on virgin hair the ends are the most fragile you wouldn’t want it sitting longer there.

Yeah, I usually go to a professional to relax my hair. And I'm very picky with the hairdressers I go to. I luckily found the best one I've ever had last year (she even has a license for relaxing hair as it is a chemical procedure). Ladies, I don't recommend doing it at home. My hair has been thriving!

I think the 2nd woman should have let her hair keep growing and style it in a 1940's kind of swirl in the front with a bouffant in the back. Her hair was long enough that she could do a lot with bobby pins. Relaxer shouldn't even be sold to people who haven't had a relaxer safety class.

4C is a weird mix of resilient and very delicate. Mine is at least I got sick of it and got locs. Yay to no more detangling! Brad should watch microloc installation videos

Question: I have no knowledge about relaxers, but I had an emo friend in HS who would straighten their hair and then perm it straight. Is that the same thing And would this have worked for these ladies better if they straighten their hair first

I need just more comments from you about black hair and necessities after a relaxer. I start in the top where there's less blood flow. Vaseline goes on the skin not the hair and for straight hair not just semi straight at least 2ish boxes.

As soon as your video started, I noticed that they computer instead of being white/light silver it’s more of a dark color. I absolutely love your videos and always look forward to the new ones lol keep doing what you’re doing.

I've learned that if you dye your hair and use a relaxer the next day you can end up with little crystals ALL OVER your head that take days to comb out. I'm 98% sure I accidently turned my head into a calcite farm. Chemistry y'all.

isnt it kinda messed up that relaxers manage to be one of the only hair products that you cant put on skin i really dont understand how youre supposed to put it all on without getting some on your scalp.

Curly hair is bad as it is, but black-people curly hair is just the worst. Id hate to live with this on my head and have to go through all these relaxer processes just to have normal hair for a while
