My hair is 85% silver and the rest is dark brown, so I thought I'd try the L'Oreal silver hair dye (Silver grey 10. 112 Soho, has same pic as that Colorista box) to lighten the dark hair and tone the silver. I got a silver, ginger mix - which was fine! I kind of hoped it would go redder on the dark strands. Looked lovely over Summer. But now (4 weeks later) it's all going blonde, even the palest silver parts. Why is it now blonde Kinda grumpy. I have another box and a highlighting cap so I might do a blend through with another box, and let it go darker again over Winter.

If my mom can wait the 2 weeks to fix her hair with black dye from honey brown hair dye that looked genuinely horrible and was super patchy, YOU CAN WAIT THE 2 WEEKS AS PER THE BOX TO DYE YOUR HAIR AGAIN WHEN YOU ARE REALLY WEIRDLY BLONDE.
That is not so hard to learn.
Also if you do use box dye, put Vaseline on your arms as well as next to your hair line and especially right near the shoulder blades on the neck. I had to clean the black off over and over again, but it came off super easily with dish soap and water and there was no staining on the back!

I have done this to my long hair and wanted it a gray blue looking color. So had to bleach my hair. Well I bleached it twice, it had no orange it was yellow and blonde. I had used purple shampoo. It did not work thinking to get the yellow out. Lord and be hole I needed toner. but didn't have it so I figured the boxs dye would cover it an it made my hair worse. I had patches of blue Grey with blonde. I just died it back to brown. I did put conditioner in my hair after every bleaching.

I filmed doing my teenager's hair because they asked for something complicated and I was worried. I followed all of your advice, they have very dark hair and wanted cyan highlights. Sectioned, paper thin sections, bleached, foil to keep it all clean, fresh bleach and pulling the hair in different directions. It turned out amazing, so many compliments. We used crazy hair, then beauty bay got loads of your colours in stock again! Definitely using xmondo next time!

My hair is naturally gray white. Genetics sucks let me tell you. I've had gray hair since I was 12 and have had to dye my hair since I was 12. Haven't dyed it in 4 yrs now and it's salt and pepper and I'm not even 40. It sucks but genetics happens. My poor 15 yr old son gets made fun of because if I didn't have gray hair I wouldn't look nearly 40 but now his friends say I look like his grandma. I wish I could dye my hair just can't. I hate bleach

I feel like girl #1 should have done 40 developer on the roots and 30 on the very red ends. Then repeated the same thing a week later. Asian hair is so thick (not the quantity but each strand) that it can handle harsher developer. Then she could have done the grey but Asians have so much red pigment in their hair that it's just not a good idea and considering her skin tone there really was no reason for her to even try.

Braaaaad! Help pls XD I managed to bleach my partner's hair to a pale yellow and was shocked to discover that these LATAM country I live in doesn't really sell the toners or anything. Not boxed and nice and with T numbers. I only get offered dyes or purple shampoos and I have no idea what to do to reach the siver/platinum look now without just bleaching more and making it purple for 1 month. HOW DO LATAM PEOPLE TONEEE XD

23: 11 what kills me about this video is how apparent it is that Brad’s love is the dashing of hair colour and how it looks and hair’s beauty. I feel like the chemicals and chemistry aspect of it is not his love but it’s a realization that in order to understand hair colour/bleach/styling you NEED to know these things and therefore he has done his best to master it, but his passion is the beauty in hair.

Dude. I have just below chin length hair. It's thick. Deceptively so. However when I do any coloring I do super fine sections. So I use 3 bleach amounts to color my whole head. Have to do them one after another because that 30 min. Timer to bleach is no joke. I badly want to change my hair color but it's pretty damaged so I wouldn't know if it'd even take. Watching these ladies cures my desire for change. Lol

I use schwarzkopf blond me bleach and 30vol developer (my hair handles bleach well or i use 20vol in 2 bleaching sessions if i'm out of 30. My base is white with a touch of yellow and is so easy to tone. Stop wasting money on box dye lol. I figure buy the best products that last a while rather than heaps of box dye that you have no control of the end result.

honestly i think these people fake it. how can you mess it up that hard ive never had any issues bleaching or dying in the 10 years ive done it at home

Back in 2001 I was 11 and my cousin was much older then me and was in cosmetology school. She told me if I used boxed colour it would wash out after like 15 washes. So I coloured my beautiful golden hair a dark brown colour needless to say it did not wash out So there began my journey of colouring my hair for the next 24 years lol

Well. just ignore me sitting here having box bleached my hair to platinum. after the twice round of bleaching over the course of a month or so. using several rounds of purple shampoo/conditioner/mask. before adding a box feria shimmer silver color. the fact that it actually looks exactly like the box shocks the outta me

I respect you as a hair stylist at least I thought you knew what you were doing but I am getting really tired of your F-word has nothing to do with coloring one's hair there's many other words out there that you can express yourself with just the way I feel I won't watch you anymore because I don't like to listen to it

Brad I just fckn love your videossss. I’m using my hair blue and it’s so difficult to find good hairdressers that can bleach my hair again and give me beautiful blue hair again. But you always explain what might happen and I understand what my hairdresser did wrong and damaged it

Can you make a video on how to grow/embrace natural gray hair on brown/black I have so much struggle with the different texture of the gray hair and it is single hairstrands on brown hair. It looks craaaazy. And also they don't grip the semi-colour well.

I usually always revert to dying my naturally auburn brown hair platinum blonde because I have a bump on my head that looks like a bald spot at just the right-wrong angle and it's easier to hide when my hair is light colored, but it is SO much work!
