You being a man or woman should not be any reason for why you can or can not be a successful FoodTuber. There are going to be haters wherever you go. You can choose to either deal with it upfront or ignore them. I'm willing to bet that many male FoodTubers have received death threats because they tainted some neckbeard's mother's recipe on pasta or something.

if you ever ask the question why are women represented in (insert field here) your answer can be boiled down to the fact that men are a mor competitive gender. there are more men that are more willing to work hard to be the best at a thing than there are women.

I feel like the demographic of people looking to learn how to cook is more so unmarrried men. Men have a harder time asking others to help them and are more prone to want to learn on their own. Also we naturally seek advice from people that fit our demographic more.

Came here to say paid journals need to die, they re profiting off something that s often government funded and are pretty much just a parasite on the scientific establishment trying to act like they re essential

I don't know if I really understand what you're trying to say in regards to the title question. It sounds like you're saying men should just step down and stop entering areas where women are under-represented?
reply

If only there was a HUB of SCIence that would let you access those journals. Would be cool to call it like SCI-HUB on something. Should check that out on twitter to see if anyone has made it a real thing.

Tip for those looking for access to the full version of a scientific journal article, email the author. The vast majority will be happy that someone outside their research bubble is interested in their work.

1: 44 if you love plain roast tomatoes try eating at an iranian/persian place and order the grilled meat skewers (Kubideh, Djudje, Bargh, etc. Usually the tomatoes come as a side dish with them.

I kinda see the predominately male foodtube thing as a good and bad thing, good becuase its dislodging the notion that only women should be in the kitchen, bad becuase the reasons adam said.
