I've never seen a video of Hawa before - she needs to make more She's lovely - and that dish looks scrumptious (minus the cilantro, cuz gross. I seriously was trying to imagine what those spices and textures would taste like with the banana, and I have to say I'm intrigued. It sounds kind of good Also, too, what is the hate for green bell pepper? Green bell pepper is delicious - and I love it on pizza. There. I said it.

something I love about Bon Appetit is that they introduce me to new food. I've never had Somalian food, but it's clear that I'm missing out. It's one of the few videos that I think I'm going to go out of my way to make this recipe--ESPECIALLY with banana (I love sweet and salty, i feel it on a molecular level) Please have her in more videos, she's an absolute angel and an informative cook

I still can't believe I met Gaby before. It's so hard to believe she lives in my city so I can just randomly bump into her, which I did. Ugh. She is the sweetest & I hope I can speak for everyone when I say, I need more Hawa and Sohla videos Both of them are angels and we dont see enough of them

So wholesome. But umm did she not salt the suugo? Or did I miss it? Or is it part of the spice blend? Salt and sugar are both flavour enhancers that bring out the characters in the spices, so I encourage everyone to add a pinch of sugar and salt to taste.

I'm confused as to why it's called suugo suqaar. Suqaar is cubed or sliced meats, not ground meat. I've had suqaar in my suugo all the time. Anyways, I love this, seeing my heritage on display in the test kitchen.

Its always nice to see Black people on BA test kitchen. I absolutely love BA test kitchen and ALL the chefs. But Ive always wanted to see someone who looks like me on there as well. We are chefs too
