Join Carla Lalli Music in the Bon App tit Test Kitchen as she makes broccoli delight. What is broccoli delight, you ask? Why, it's what happens when the stars align and a smattering of seemingly unconnected ingredients find unity in the confines of a pan. And if that doesn't make sense to you, basically it's melty, cheesy saut ed broccoli with chili flakes and lemon

I make this a lot, it's even easier if you just do it in the oven. Especially on a silmat. Just stick the broccoli and cheese in the oven at like 425 and anywhere it's touching the pan crisps up but the cheese on top stays melty. So good with parm especially, you barely even need any salt

Carla somehow has the most universally relatable personality I've ever seen hosting anything. I feel like it's bc she's instructional but never pretentious. Mama Carla is here to show u the tricks and if that's not gonna do it for u she's like but listen cheese on anything works so

I think watching Carla and Chris Morocco interact with their families/kids is literally the best things. The life with teenagers in Carlas case and life with rambunctious young boys in Chris case. It s the cutest thing. And then Priya interacting with her parents. The best.

These poor editors trying to sync sound with snaps! I love all your on camera personalities, but can we at least try to teach to teach them the importance and why we clap sticks to have a visual and audio cue when slating each take? Can we send them a clapboard, please?

This reminds me of the worst food I ever made. I was wanting butter and lemon on my broccoli, but I didn't have lemon juice. So I thought, what other acid do I have? I had balsamic vinegar. Let me tell you, balsamic vinegar and broccoli do NOT go together.

Carla: I didn t have breakfast or lunch. I m going to eat some cheese and broccoli fried in olive oil. To me this translates to intermittent fasting and low carb keto diet! I watch too many random videos.

i liked the video - but does this qualify as a recipe? maybe a technique: charr stuff to make it taste less like one thing and more like another, and also put cheese on things to make them taste cheesy.

Were I making this I'd probably add some garlic or shallot and use either gouda or prov for the cheese, but I'm really glad to see I'm not alone in liking a bit of red pepper flake on broc.

The test kitchen: Tons of loud, noisy people making food in the background. Carla's kitchen: I'm rolling, so leave! Also, the sample bites are eaten off-camera after arguing with the chef.
