My Shortcrust Pastry Masterclass - Try making Chocolate Pastry - SUBSCRIIIIBEEEE - Pop Tarts are one of those things I had to beg my mum to buy for me as a kid. Until then it had been Weetabix for breakfast. But once I tried Pop Tarts, the sugary floodgates opened and nothing else would do. But now I can make my OWN And so can you Try filling them with jam if you're a bit short on time They are so yummy: ) Recipe - For the pastry. 450g plain flour 60g icing sugar pinch of salt 300g cold chopped butter 6 tbsp ice cold water extra flour for rollin' a beaten egg for glazing & sticking For the chocolate filling. 45g dark chocolate 20g cocoa 30g light soft brown sugar 60ml double cream pinch of salt 45g more dark chocolate 15g butter For the glaze. 120g icing sugar 1/4 tsp 'Superwhite' 2-3 tbsp water 1/4 tsp vanilla extract Chocolate for drizzlin'

Some maybe odd questions: Do you prefer a marble or metal countertop? Is your countertop chilled? Have you tried a chilled countertop, any thought on those?

Looks fantastic. How hard would it be to replace the chocolate filling with a berry filling? Could I just use commercial berry preserves or jam? Yummy
