Check out my Rainbow playlist - Masha: Hey Jemma, I much prefer videos where you present us interesting taste combinations or techniques like different buttercreams or cake types. My all time faves are the black sesame and the green tea cupcakes So unusual yet brilliant. Could you do a video/series about different types of sponge cake? I noticed that you usually beat a lot of air into the butter, but my mum usually beats the eggs and uses less fat and flour. In Germany and Belgium, we call that Biscuit. Oh and can you make clafoutis and sth with a dutch crust please? Two things that I have struggled with in the past; )

Jemma I'm so disappointed by your recipes. I mean you have great ideas, but the basics are always the same: normal sponge, sweet, unedible buttercream, I've tried to make it more than you could ever imagine - never worked. :D Just look at this cake: incredible outlook and decorating, but just admit it: exactly the same taste as almost every cake you've made before. Just go on, I do not want to give you advice, but this is just how I think.

Hi Jemma Love all your videos, but I am realllllllly hoping you could answer my question as I have kind of an emergency (. setiously, this is serious) Is it OK if I freeze macaron shells to use them in a week and a half? I have to make about 300 macarons and I have started making some batches but now I am worried If yes, can the shells touch each other? I am afraid they will stick together after thawing them. MANY MANY THANKS X

Hi there. I made this cake today but have struggled getting the colours right for the white chocolate. I bought powder colour as you recommended but the colours are just not bright like yours. Please can you advise which colours you used for your cake mix, buttercream, meringues and white chocolate? I am a bit disappointed that mine have ended up rather dull in comparison to yours. Thanks Jemma

Hi Jemma Love all your cakes Would love to try thisQuestion: what do you do with the buttercream when you are chilling the cake after the crumb coat? Do you leave it in room temperature or store it in the fridge? Will it melt if left outside? I stay in hot and humid Asia. Thanks

Hi Jemma So I have measured my cake tins and weirdly they same to be 7. 5 inches (inside edge to inside edge) would this recipe still work for that size? Also would it be as simple as halving the recipe quantities if I just want to use 2 tins instead of 4? Xx

Possibly a silly question - but how to do you colour the meringue? In the rainbow video the colour paste is painted up the piping bag for the stripe effect where as these meringue are one colour? Hoping to give it a go for my daughters 10th birthday in a few weeks

Love how you avoid cutting through /destroying the topping but since were not that lucky if we recreate this amazing cake, maybe show us the next time how to cut the cake into pieces with all that delicate topping in place? that would be appreciated. Thanks Jemma
