In the ultimate non-cooking competition show; we have Binging With Babish's Andrew Rea going head-to-head against Delish's own, June Xie, in answering not-so-basic cooking questions. Whoever has the most correct answers at the end, wins. (What do they win? Nothing. Glory. Pride. Who is to say) And yes, of course, the questions will get slightly harder in each round - Check out the Babish Culinary Universe: And his all-new line of cookware

Fun fact: Teflon (the coating of non stick pans) is basically just a very very flat surface (on a microscopic scale) that is repellant to oil AND water. it is not fixed to the pan, but gets into all the little crevices of the metal and therefore adheres only mechanically(like tape etc) and is therefore very prone to scratching.
Fun Fact 2: Flouride is one of the most toxic elements for humans, but it is bonded so strongly to the carbon atoms in teflon that it will not find its way in your food.

that's. that's not what -the singularity- is. it refers to the -technological singularity- when tech becomes so advanced it becomes uncontrollable and forever alters the human race and the world we live in. i mean, i guess we might merge into a giant hive mind or something, but that is as probable as every human mind entering a world of its own creation, never to see or interact with another human being every again, so.
yeah, that's the point i got stuck on.

Love this video! In the future, could you guys have someone read out the questions before you talk about your answers? Sometimes I turn on YouTube while I-m cooking or doing dishes so it-s hard to catch every question. -

Hey -Delish, is there any way I could get ahold of June about a series idea? I am a nobody, but I have an idea I would love to throw out to her.
