Chef Eddie Hernandez got a job as a waiter in 1987 but quickly ended up in the kitchen. He has been cooking in Atlanta ever since and is now chef at the beloved Taqueria del Sol. ladyshkspre: I wanna get in my car and drive for ATL right now just so I can try this dish. Hey, when he said that the way this man cooked the greens took the bitterness out of them, I was sold. That distinctive bitterness is why turnips are my least favorite greens (I love collards and Kale though. How dare they have the audacity to be both bitter AND tough, damn ornery vegetable!
