HONESTY -- Eater, there are thousands of trained ANCHORS, JOURNALIST and graduates of Broadcast jourbalism and USC school of media! I personally wont be watching because you had to punch the host's in like a beginning artist in the recording studio! This isnt Live theater, do another take! Otherwise I can just watch The Chew, or Cooking with Tia or Someone who LOOKS LIKE they want to be there!

Making me homesick mon, It's hard to get meat on the bone in the UK now. Love ox tail growing up in TO, had it in Chinese soups and West Indian meals. I see you did roti on another video, got to try the goat roti if you like ox tail. You were eating Peaches & Cream corn, my favourite type. Thanks for the blast from home, Toronto video series.

Yessss to that Beres Hammond in the background. I don't buy oxtail often from restaurants because my family cooks it partially, let it cool a little and skim the fat off the top and continue braising it. Everyone doesn't take off the fat.

I seriously think Toronto might me the most diverse city I've ever seen! Its amazing this city is like a Jerk. So many spices and flavors that originate from so many different cultures combine to make something beautiful.

I grew up around Jane/Weston and I live in Glen Agar now. I miss: Randys Pattys, Eats Weston/Lawrence and all the Jamaican spots on Keele & Eglinton. I sometimes go back but it just doesnt taste the same anymore.

For his answer to midwest sweet corn. Guy needs to get his butt out to the countryside in SW Ontario when the peak season hits. Best corn you will ever get is a stand on the side of a country road.

Yes! RAPS is definitely the place to visit for Jamaican 'pan' chicken in Toronto. In jamaica, we would describe this as pan chicken rather than jerk chicken. There are slight differences in preparation.

You write for the NY Times. You are from the midwest - why so many reviews in Toronto (or Canada for that matter? We are usually overlooked by international foodie establishments.
