The wagyu is absolutely delicious, and everything that this show says it is. In the last year there have been a number of wagyu-based restaurants opening in Takamatsu city (just across from Shodoshima, the olive-wagyu island. The missus and I have been checking them out and have not been disappointed yet!

Finally! Some meat! I'm enjoying how the show is starting this feature with wagyu outside of the popular Kobe. I went to Takamatsu before to visit the home of Sanuki udon and try all kinds of local udon. I didn't know the island also have a unique cattle culture! Looking forward to the next!

Wow, Nick must have felt so much Lost in Translation. That translator barely translates half of what ppl say (from what I gather from the edited video and subtitles. The translator is having conversations with the subject without Nick, how uncomfortable!

I hope Nick got to try some Yakiniku or Teppanyaki or Red Rock or Ikinari Steak or beef/horse sashimi. All of these are different kinds of Japanese beef experiences at different price points. I'd be super curious to hear what Nick would think of them.

not an usual The Meat Show episode but I actually really liked this one! my only concerns is that some of the scenes looks kinda warped, it would be great if the crew could use a decent camera stabilizer instead of editing it in the post-pro

after watching this video and the way they sort of contain their cattle seems a bit crowded. i prefer the other video where they are in texas and the cattle just roam so pleasantly through the plains.

/rambling modewhy can't you just have Lucas do all the culinary travel and Nick reviewing the meat ONLY? I mean, use a fruit knife to cut fruit, and use a meat cleaver to cut meat.

Why did they not show raw meat? Why didn't he talk about the attributes that cows fed with olives, which have high nutrient values, translates into the meat? foodie trash
