Welcome back to the test kitchen! On today's episode, Esther is testing the Cuisinart soft serve machine. Soft serve is something people typically leave the house for, but if this machine works, soft serve ice cream in pajamas could become a reality. Shop the Cuisinart Mix It In Soft Serve Maker

It's impossible for any machine less than a few hundred to thousands of dollars to make true soft-serve. In order to make it you need a machine with a system that is cold enough to immediately freeze the mix while aerating it so that the ice cream comes out smooth, light, and frozen enough to hold shape. Any company who puts out a home appliance claiming to make soft-serve is knowingly putting out a scam product. This thing is literally just a normal home ice cream maker with a hole at the bottom of the coolant pot, and the ice cream that you make with those are always meant to be frozen for a few hours before being eaten, that's why the ice cream here is instantly melting. Go to McDs or DQ for your fix.

Well thanks to all of you, you have ruined my Christmas for me and my grandchildren! I bought one of these for my grandchildren for Christmas, and I was just looking to see what all I needed to get from the store before I used it, and was going to freeze the bowl and have it ready to churn Christmas morning, tomorrow morning, as this is Christmas Eve. Now you have got me so disappointed that my Christmas is going to be ruined, because someone who is vertically challenged cannot turn it around so that she can see how to dispense it into the cone!

This thing is nearly obsolete. LG is going to release the Snow White instant soft serve ice cream maker that comes with k cups for a lot of options and flavors such as sherbets frozen yogurts, gelatos, etc, Imagine just putting in the ingredients and k cup and instantly you have soft ice cream, no freezing and no waiting any longer than it takes to make a kurieg cup of coffee. Look it up, the Snow White by LG

I think it looks like that because of her. People ordered this on amazon and the reviews and videos look SO MUCH BETTER and its soopy because instead of putting the frozen tray into the machine she was talking and talking allowing it to melt and plus the machine isn't even facing her how do you expect it to cone out good? I bet if anyone else did it it would look MUCH better.

It's soft serve. It melts fast. McDonalds machine costs in the thousands I'm sure. so let's get a soft serve from McDonalds and set it on the counter, too. I usually don't make it out of the drive thru before it's dripping. For the price, I'm impressed you got over 6 cones from one mix.

So i actually have this machine at home, it works perfect if you put a little less mixture into it. the ice cream turns out so much more smoother and thicker. although if you do use a bigger batch just prefreeze the ice cream for approx 2 hours stirring the mixture every 30 minutes.

I knew. You would mess it. Up. Turn the cone as ice cream comes out. U need a STEP LADDER. MAKE ICE. CREAM MORE THICKER. GO HOME SHORTY. Cause you didn't churn ice cream enough. You don't turn cone as it comes out. U JUST there to show off your short self 4 ft 10 inch midget.

She obviously doesn't want anyone to see her from the back lol. What a complete failure of reviewing an appliance. Instead of placing her body properly, she completely ruined this review. Not saying that this machine is great but she is worst than the machine itself.

Your review of this soft-serve ice cream maker is false simply because you didn't let the ice cream maker spin for the 20 minutes that is needed to make the cream harden. I feel you don't know enough about basic cooking and the science that comes with it.
