On today's episode of Cooking in America, chef Sheldon Simeon is hanging out with chef Reem Assil at Dyafa in Oakland. Monkey: 'Fighting to exist'. Such a lie. Consult the 'British Record on Partition' from the May 8, 1948 issue of the Nation Associates. Arabs, under leadership of British bet Hajj Amin al Husseini, were pogroming and killing Jews going back many years (and many countries. In 1948, British troops were doing their best to help Husseini finish the final solution of the Jews of palestine, the same 'final solution' merely relocated from Europe to palestine. The Jews fought back, suffered many casualties, but refused to be finished off by the Arabs, who had the help of the British and imported German SS leadership. These are the truths that all muslims cover up with lies about 'we're being genocided! ', for they know that the truth is so sick and depraved that no one would support their fraudulent cause if given the facts.

I'm Indian, born in India and raised in America. One point in my life a few years ago, I had a job in door to door sales. I happen to come upon a Palestinian residence. First minute, they listened to me and during the conversation I happened to mention that food they are cooking smells delicious. He asked if I was hungry. I said yes. They invited me into their home immediately and got me fully fed. Delicious food and nice people.

I love how many stories and histories and tradition we learn on this show. Really great episode. The chef was wonderful and eloquent. The food looks amazing! I live in a country where you find very little variety in terms of restaurants from other countries and every time I watch Eater, it makes me so envious of those who have all the world at their feet through immigrant-owned restaurants like in the US.

palestinian Arabs have states--Jordan, and some are Israeli (Israeli Arabs. She's in the US because her parents didn't want to live under hitlerian PA/hamas type of rule. Would be nice if she'd just be honest and admit this.

That looks awesome! Incidentally, sumac is not poisonous. Poison sumac, which kind of looks like sumac, is related to poison ivy and poison oak. Real sumac grows all over and some people make wine from it.

the chef looks like Carli Lloyd. when someone looks like Asian or central and south American couldn't eat spicy food. I was like. whatttt! this is offensive. are you sure, you are one of us? :D hahahahah

How many more examples of immigrants making the United States more interesting, delicious, and beautiful do we need to see before we finally allow them to come and build their lives in safety here?

the food looks awesome, however i have to say, she cant claim that musakhan is authentic, as she added alot of foreign ingredients to the dish. its like a modern take on an authentic dish.

This woman is what makes multiculturalism so great! I've been to Jordan and Syria. The food from that region is so great. It's good that she can share her food and culture with the world.

As usual, Eater picks an awesome location. Chef Reem's food looks delicious indeed but I especially enjoyed hearing about her experiences and perspective. Very cool Sheldon episode.
