On this episode of K-Town, Matthew Kang heads to Ms. Yoo for a regal fried whole chicken, stuffed with glutinous rice. The recipe for this came from head chef and owner Esther Choi's grandmother, who would make a turkey version for thanksgiving. If you love Korean fried chicken you will love this episode

This is not korean fried chicken. If anything this is the fried version of baeksuk / sam gye tang which is meant to be made into a soup and eaten for health benefits and is never fried in any form. I would assume all that rice, jujubes and garlic cloves and what not stuffed inside of the chicken would absorb whatever moisture was left in that chicken breast per the host's unconvincing expression its very juicy 3: 19 lol

i've seen a similar thing in korea (well, i watched it on a korean show, i didn't see it myself when i was in korea. like samgyetang but baked (the filling is kinda different though. i think it's a similar concept but fried. and tbh i'm not really fond with chicken w/ head on cos there was one time i had a whole fried chicken (chopped into pieces) and accidentally munched on the head.

4: 00 having the glutenous rice inside. I've never had anything like thisUh. if you are Korean you have to have had it in samgyetang. You could clearly see from her stuffing ingredient profile (jujubes, rice) that her grandma's recipe was basically a take on samgyetang inside of a turkey instead of chicken and roasted instead of simmered

It would be a curse to install a North Korean flag (The White Coin) on a turkey along with the American flag (The Old Glory. It would as well be a curse to install the White Coin on a wall of a North Korean domicile. A household can't have anything on any wall except the portraits of each hereditarily despotic member of North Korea.

I think the feet and the head make it attractive, but the chicken looks dry af and the stuffing seems kind of lackluster to be honest, considering what people do with chicken these days to make it tastier and juicer. When you consider all the brines and marinades used in even better fast food joints this seems much less enciting.

This literally has none of the characteristics of a Korean Fried Chicken. It's not fried twice, it doesn't have some crazy sauce coat. If you argued it's an iteration of the Korean Roasted Chicken, you might have a point there but it's a stretch to say this is Korean Fried Chicken.

What kinda irks me during your descriptions is that you're pretty vague. It's very tender, very juicy, great flavor; the chicken has amazing flavor okay describe it more thoroughly. I like how Lucas is thorough even to where the spice hits you on the tongue.

That looks like a feee range chicken. Nor plump or fat like supermarket fryers. I think that's why it looks dry, but being fried bread side out of the oil should not overlook the white meat so it could very well be super juicy.
