People have to understand how hurt the natural population for sturgeon are due to over fishing for there eggs, they take very long to mature and naturally reproduce so the sturgeon numbers have gone down, and many species are close to being extinct. This farming may not seem the best way for a fish to live, but it has to happen in order to save the wild ones in there natural waters. This can help with getting the sturgeons populations back to normal, and be part of the natural eco system they lived for so long in. if they are stressed (and probably reabsorbed the eggs)its not a huge deal. just take them back and put them in production tank. just give them time and make them happy, untill they produce some eggs. and then stab it take it out. sounds really rationale. if that that fish knew what was going to happen, it would by every means try to discard away her eggs and find a way to become sterile!

The people who complain about the fish is fed and then gutted turn around and vote for someone thatalso offer them free food and free stuff and then get gutted also. I'm talking to all the socialists out therethat can't/don't realize they are little more than a farm animal. If you get free stuff then YOU are the onewho's going to get harvested. over and over till you have nothing left.

i might never be able to eat caviar, but after watching this disgusting method i will not eat them evenif they are offered for free. they use electric current and then say its very light and doesn't hurt any one who knows in how much pain these fish are when put in electrocuted water. They even stab them with screw driver and call it biopsy. ps: I Am Not A Vegan But This Sucks.

Its the same how crocodiles are kept in dark pits their whole lives to be harvested for their skin. Its the same how livestock are kept in tiny cages and wait to be butchered. And its the same how animals are kept in zoos. Tortured for OUR entertainment, our food, our luxuries, our convenience.

Just imagine staying in a tank for 7/8 year people stabbing you with a screwdriver saying its biopsy and in the end you get killed by a knife slashing trough your stomach just to get your eggs (kids, children) everything about this video just makes me so sad

poor fishes. will get to live the best of their lives for 8 yrs only to get killed for their overly priced eggs that probably only the. 9% of the world population will ever get a taste. i doubt it's even as delectable

We electrocute the fish to calm it down. then we stab it with a screwdriver to see if the eggs can be harvested, and then we slap it with a hammer to put it in a coma, then we slice it open and take the egg sack.

And this is why I say. GO VEGAN. Imagine if you're pregnant and you get a screwdriver into your belly to test the baby fluids or something like that. It's the same and simply animal cruelty.

This is brutal. First stun them and stab screwdrivers and if the fish is lucky its stomach is cut and the eggs are stolen. The owner earns a lot of money and the fish dies for nothing. Wow!
