Ditch the Muffins and make MUFFIN TOPS instead!

We all know the best part of the muffin is the muffin top! Muffins Top Recipe! Muffin Tops Recipe: 140 grams of Butter ( 1 1/4 sticks) 160 grams White Sugar ( 3/4 cup) Zest of 1 Lemon 2 eggs 60 grams Fresh Lemon Juice ( 1/4 cup) ( If you want to make other types of muffin tops you can substitute the lemon juice with 1/4 cup buttermilk. 300 grams All Purpose Flour (2 cups + 1 tbsp) 1 tsp Baking Powder 1/4 tsp Salt 1 tsp Vanilla Blueberries Bake for 1620 min depending how soft or crispy you like your muffin tops. Crumble Topping: 60 gr Cold Butter ( 1/2 stick) 90 gr All Purpose Flour ( 3/4 cup) 2 tbsp Sugar Pinch of Salt Drizzle: 2 tbsp of Lemon juice or milk Powdered Sugar ( Add to your personal preference for a thin/thick glaze)

Emma, I love your recipes and videos. I have a request. I'm partially disabled so i have a hard time writing and even typing. Could you possibly include directions with the recipe? Right now I have to run the video while I'm making the recipe and start and stop it frequently to get the instructions. Just typing this comment took me 5 minutes. Thanks again for the wonderful recipes.

All that I can say is that is so nice to coming here and see that you have a new recipe. Repeat this again, every single one is just amazing; last week cake, everyone was just crazy asking for more, and today I can bake this this morning; just a question, can I use chocolate chips instead? I don't have blackberries, thank you and have a great weekend.

Y-E-S! Just what I need right now, Emma: ) Thank you! I have oodles of fresh picked blueberries right now and want to make muffins. But the regular muffins recipes out there just don't seem to hit the spot. This looks like the perfect recipe. I'm onto it - I'm off to the kitchen, hahaha.

Another excellent idea Emma. I used to just cut off the tops for breakfast and save the bottoms for a late desert. I'd peel back the paper from the sides and drizzle chocolate sauce on top until it oozed over the sides. I guess that make me a decadent foodie --

These look so good! I can't wait to make them- question thought, is it possible to make a banana nut muffin version? How would I incorporate the bananas into the recipe without adding to much moisture and messing up the recipe?

You had me at crumble topping -- those look fantastic Emma. i hope you-re all well there, we heard here in Australia that Italy is in lock down, my mother can-t get a hold of her sisters there and she-s a little worried. -
