Its such an honor to have you make your version of kek lapis. For those who are curious its a famous cake in Sarawak, Malaysia and the flavor ranges far more than vanilla and chocolate so please pay us a visit! Also, I recommend you to try the steamed version, it'll take an average of 8+ hours but its worth it, and if its baked like this theres actually a tool that'll compact the cake after baking each layer. Thank you for the expose!

Moist kek lapis is the best. When i was a student, there was a house, they make kek lapis and sell them. It's a family business. Over the years they got big and now they have branches. I believe they will grow bigger. Every morning i woke up to their cakes' smell. It was amazing. And i can tell your kek lapis is very moist. Im proud that u want to try out this recipe. -

OMG. I thought I read it wrongly when I saw the word 'kek lapis'. It is a popular cake in my country Malaysia. I have tried several of your recipes and they always turn out good -. Easy to follow, correct measurement and taste so yummy -

Hi Emma, what did you do with the coconut oil, I don't see it being used, but it's on the ingredient list? Also, I don't see you using any parchment paper on your baking tray, is there something special you're using instead?
