To all the people who keep hating on her saying this recipe sucks, well I happen to be a big red velvet fan. and when i made this the other day, it was hands down the best recipe ive ever came across. seriously! however, how she gets her cake so red is still a mystery to me. I need to add 3 entire bottles in order to get a somewhat similar shade!

ok every time I use butter in a recepe I get these heavy thick cupcakes. What am I doing wrong? When I use crisco I get them light and fluffy but as soon as they cool they are dry. I think I might not be mixing the butter and sugar enough, any suggestions?

Well, I guess if you smell it and it smells burnt then you know you've overcooked. :P But I think that was just a flyby piece of advice. Not meant to be taken that seriously.
