In New Mexico, they have POSOLE and it IS pronounced with a LAY on the end(po-SO-lay. Don't misinform people with only a beginners understanding of culinary history and facts.

quite true, such things can differ from region to region, im just saying that i dont think all that garnish ruins the whole dish. Sure pozole purist may gree it does, but i personally love the flavor of repollo in my pozole.

It Pozole (with a Z. not Posole. and it's not pronounced with a lay sound at the end, its pronounced with a le sound as in the name Le-ster.
And it's Rojo, not Rioja
And pleeeease! Pozole is 100% mexican, don't give me none of this BS that is new mexican.
