What I'd do is toast the bun then spread on some garlic sour cream (sour cream (you can use yoghurt as well, some fresh garlic, a splash of oil, some chopped parsley, a splash of soy sauce and a pinch of salt and pepper) then put on some sliced red onion, your hotdog then some diced green onion) (I basically did Sam the Cooking Guy's hot dog but using your bacon wrapped dog instead)

Do we need to ask Mrs. Chef John about the ol' spread 'n' tuck?
More seriously, those of us old enough to remember Howard Johnson's will know this truth about flat things browning and crisping up better than round. HoJo's used to slice their hot dogs lengthwise, flatten them out, and cook them that way.

Add some baked beans and you have the picnic of my dreams meal! oh. and some potato chips. and a root beer or cream soda. because well. it's a picnic. I think it's in the rules somewhere. Ah yes. page 1178, paragraph 2. Hey, I don't make the rules, I just follow them. ; ]

Not sure if trolling or not, but you are creating less surface by 'merging' the hot dogs togheter, because the middle part between the dogs can't hit the pan now.
I know it's easier to fry both the top and bot parts of the double dog then just single dogs.

Guilty and proud of it. I am that person that likes chart on the hot dog. Don't put the dog on the grill and don't let me know each other on that dog. Does it matter of fact I like a little child all my food.

I normally don't like hot dogs. eat them like once a year or less.
However since there's nothing that can't be improved by the addition of bacon I figure why not. also no little shake of cayenne: '(

When I was a kid, my parent's diner served a Swanky Frank - a hot dog split down the middle, stuffed with cheese, wrapped in bacon and then deep fried! This recipe brings back good memories, thanks Chef John!

I can't do dill relish, or mustard, or raw onions, so I'll enjoy mine with tomatoes, ketchup, and sweet relish. I am the demagogue of my double dog, and I am deeply prejudiced against your hotdog toppings.

A few hours ago, I watched Chef John's roasted onion spread vid. He ate it with salmon, and he opined at the end, 'this should be a hot dog. Find that video and use it with the Double-Dog; I dare ya!
