All homo-erotocism aside, I think Chef John was in the gym all week toning up for this calorie dense burger, and getting his hairy knuckles waxed for this shoot. But in all seriousness, WHERE WAS THE KETCHUP GLAZE That is what really makes the umami stand out in meatloaf. Chef John, I am a pagan worshipping at your YouTube altar, I might even be your Alert Ego, because I almost always make the dishes you feature. You are WONDERFUL, and I love you in a non-homo-erotic way.

It always amuses me how much difficulty people seem to have saying Worcestershire, although to be fair, the spelling has very little in common with the way it's said. Wuss-tu-shu and wuss-tu-sheer are the best phonetic versions of the two main ways British people say it that I can think of. And if you think that's bad, try figuring out how to say the names of some of the places in Wales.

Started watching a couple weeks ago, and I have to say that my favorite thing about your cooking is that you actually put reasonable amounts of salt and pepper when you add them. Too often you'll see TV or Youtube chefs seriously underseason things and it irks me. Anyway, just wanted to say that I'm really enjoying the content. Keep it up. :D

The burger looks delicious When you put it together i was thinking how I'd like some of those crispy chips on it, too YUM Funny thing. I sometimes use a hand mixer to mix my meatloaves & they never come out dry, or tough at all. Actually smooth juicy and succulent Weird huh? But the truth TFS this great burger Chef Have a nice Labor Day: D

my food wish is pot pie. i'm a southern boy out here in Orange County Ca and there is no soul food/southern eateries worth a darn. you could do chicken or surprise us with a new take on the classic. I've been a chef for 25 years at some of the most icomic eateries/venues in this country. it better be impressive, chef

Chef John, could we have the bun recipe? I know you have one already, but it is not that similar to the one you use here. Ya know, the ones where you press with your fingers and it doesn't spring back? The ones that are so soft it feels like you are chewing on air? I believe some use potatoe flower.

No need for a heat diffuser. If you want even heat distribution on a grill, just line the inside with aluminum foil. It'll help cook the burgers evenly and get a killer crust on the burger without overcooking the insides. Works really well on small food items such as burgers Great video btw

I could have easily eaten two of them. Which I did. LOLColby Jack on this would be excellent. I've flirted with something similar to this recipe before. never came out quite right, but was good enough to satisfy. I'll have to try your recipe asap. Guess it's time to clean off the grill.

If you arrange your coals in a donut pattern and leave the center coal-less, you'll have a safe spot to move your meat to when flareups occur. You can also try dividing the coal bed half coal, half no coal to obtain a safe spot. You. probably knew this but thought Id mention it
