This technique is an easy and wonderful way to turn even the toughest, leanest, cheapest cuts of beef into a delicious, succulent treat. Whether you serve on tots, rice, pasta, or a big pile of mashed potatoes, I hope you give it a try soon. Lucysmom26: Chef, have you recently eaten at La Banquise? Because this dish very much reminds me of one of their poutines (also to those visiting Montreal: there are many places to get poutine here. you don't have to go to La Banquise, it is middling poutine, although they do have 1000x different toppings.

i don't eat much red meat anymore. this looks delicious! must remember it for when i treat myself to beef. only i would serve it with a side of veggies, like broccoli. or maybe sugar snaps.
No veggies on the plate looks weird. where i live (Netherlands) the default evening meal is an AVG-tje which means a simple dish combining Aardappel (potato dish) - Vlees (meat) - Groente (vegetables. it would be served either combined on 1 plate per person, or separated with pots on the table (Mum serves.

Thank goodness Cowboy Kent Rollins already taught us how to make tater tots! :)
Ok, seriously, instead of your recipes, lets see you make and redeaux other YT and TV chef's recipes:
Bourdain's Beef Burgundy
Weidman's Whatever
Uncle Roger's ugly fried rice
Cowboy Kent's Chicken Fried Steak
Mark Rippetoe's Texas chili
Adam Regusia's pot roast

This is basically the same recipe I have been making for years, and it is divine.
To add a bit more complexity I like to include green and red bell peppers, and a shot of Worcestershire sauce. Personally, I like serving it over white rice, but egg noodles are also very good.

The school I work at served tater tots at lunch today. I told a table of first graders that tater tots is short for potato toddlers and they all gave me a blank stare of disbelief. One groaned and rolled her eyes. I just felt like you needed to know this, Chef John

John, I love the recipe up to the tots. I am going to make the recipe and serve it over steamed rice. My side dish will probably steamed carrots and steamed green beans (carrots and beans were on sale this weekend.

I reinvented poutine as a young lad at Mom and Pop restaurants with my dad where I always ordered my crinkle fries with gravy, dad thought I was nuts and boy did I get the looks, I guess the Canucks beat me to it.

One of the reasons why people like to add butter to everything in the US, especially to beef, is to prevent it from being gamey. When I ate beef in Vietnam, where people don t rely on fat for taste, it was delicious.

Poutine. Thought that looked familiar. My preference here would still be fries and cheese curds. Speaking of, you should do a video on a poutine. Because you are after all the poutine, of your beef tip routine.
