We just finished Game Of Thrones (Season 8 Episode 1) and we cooked our take on your Russian bread dish Khachapuri. We found a recipe called Atcharuli Khachapuri which is basically a quiche type center filling with eggs, cheese, ham and spices. I have pictures, but we can't post them here for some reason. We named it our GOT Boat Of Shame because it is SO rich, decadent and yummy Thanks for showing us this dish.

Not going to lie, this recipe quarters perfectly (ie cut the dough into 4 equal parts instead of 2. the only thing i would add is that if you cut the dough into quarters, add the egg at the 10-12 minute mark and then continue to cook to 15 mins. this recipe cooks perfectly quartered at 15 mins with out an egg. if you add the egg at 15, you will over cook the bread.

Great, just great. But I wanna tell the truth, I tried to do it at home, I tried to eat in the restaurant, but compared to what I had in Georgia it was garbage. With real Georgian cheese it becomes just unreal, it is my all time favorite food, oh my god just remembering the taste makes me wanna cry. It was created for gods, I guess.

Khachapuri has a lot of variations. Outside of Georgia People love Adjarian Khachapuri the one is made in this video. in case someone is interested full name of dish is in quotes. but most of the Georgians think the King of all the khachapuris they made is Megrelian Khachapuri. you should take a look at it Chef John

Hey chef, I tried this recipe, and as always it was really good. But i think there might be an issue with the ingredient amounts you give out on the blog. I made sure I was following it correctly but instead of a sticky dough, I needed a bunch more water to make it work.

I'm Georgian and this food is just mind blowingly tasty haha, we make a little differently though, and no mozzarella cheese, has to be real Georgian cheese. Unfortunately where I live now Southern California, I couldn't find any Georgian food store nearby

I had a very difficult time finding a bread base that tasted good. Living in Turkey and coming back to the states, you really miss that flavor. I decided to give this a go and it exceeded far beyond my expectations. Thank you so much Chef John. Xoxox

While in Moscow visiting friends, we went to a Georgian restaurant - it was amazing We also found a burger stand serving Georgian style burgers, we still talk about all the Georgian food we had two summers ago I really want to go to Georgia now
