I used to religiously watch Kitchen Nightmares with my (then) wife, and we even managed to make the guest list for a local restaurant during an episode filming. Unfortunately, Gordon was offsite while we were there and apparently we were too dull or awkward to make it into the episode, but at least we didnt experience any unpleasant after dinner effects from the food; ) Its practically impossible, IMHO, to form an accurate and well-rounded opinion of character for most anyone that you do not spend direct one-one time with. For the more famous (and infamous) among us, you can crank up that uncertainty dial near maximum level. I will say this much though. I have been very impressed by many of the more recent out of element and casual genres Gordon has featured or participated in. Im beginning to see him more like an octopus mimicking, instead of being, just a cranky hardshell crab; )

This perfect; ly illustrates why gordon survived and Jamies restaurants have failed. Gordon places his TV work second. His brand is his food and service, not him. He employs the top people in the industry, and he personally ensures every tiny little detail is perfect. Jamie hadnt even been to half his restuarants. He was relying completely on his brand and hoped people would pay high price for low quality food. Gordon charges high prices for high quality food and high quality service.

I love learning from your many videos. I cannot help but feel a growing disconnect as I walk past, and am one cheque away myself from the growing world population of disenfranchised people. From the homeless here in southern California to people beingbutcheredfor cracking their eggs on the small end watching Martha Stewart and Codiscussing copper paella pans and cuts of food I will never afford just to damn much ( and little)

Lucky Cat. Reminds me of Kittys Restaurant, where Ive workred for 5 years. Family owned, Im in the family but Im moving away. Such beautiful atmosphere and lighting, oh my god. Much higher standards though, maybe because its not a Kitty/Kitten, its a grown up cat, and the cat is lucky. Beautiful name, it ties into my life, haha. So ironic to me. xD

Me: Gordon, why call your restaurant Lucky Cat? Him (with arms crossed and a no nonsense glare): Because my staff arent any better than homeless cats and theyre LUCKY to be working for me. Me (nodding politely): Fair enough.

Sounds good but WHERE are the adult portions of food? A person would starve eating this. one bite and done is NOT food, its an appetizerand Sharing plate? what is there to share? There is only a bite or two anyway.

I clicked because I thought Gordon Ramsey was cooking the dish in the thumbnail for his cat. I dont generally trust a bunch of white guys trying to make Asian food, but cute name at least.

Hey Mr. Ramsey, shot in the dark, but how much do you feel would be fair compensation for someone of your skill and precision to be contracted/hired as a personal chef?
