Im not French, nor have I ever been, but I think, the French were just tough to cook, and to cook well, with fresh foods in the family home. Dont be afraid to try new foods or new ways of cooking. My sister had a boyfriend who wouldnt eat anything he didnt grow up eating. He could like all of the ingredients but wouldnt eat it because it was not cooked the way he grew up eating it. Talk about having a closed mine.

I wish Gordon talked to her like his cooking videos. Hot pan. Season the vegetables. It gives it a nice crunch. Add just a splash of olive oil. (pours a half bottle. Cook until its broken down, pour over hot meat. Done.
