I have followed Gordom Ramsay, and I believe he is a good chef, but he should know such an ingredient like chorizo, its a main ingredient that will take over all the flavours in a dish, if you put chorizo in a dish like paella, the prawns wont taste like prawns but chorizo, same as the meat, the fresh green beans, the red pepper, the actual sofrito, mussels, clams, EVERYTHING WILL TASTE OF CHORIZO even the rice. come on. A nice spanish dish that has chorizo as a main ingredient together with potatoes and onion, its patatas a la riojana, that I love cooking, question: whats the potatoes flavour on that dish? answer: CHORIZO.

Gordon, please, with all my respect. It is true that you can make paella of almost anything but this is too away from the original: valencian paella. In most of Spain we cook arroz a banda which is the version with sea food you can see in almost any chiringuito in the Costa del Sol. we could have accepted that option but. chorizo? chili? and all mixed up with clams? I thought you knew about mixing certain types of flavours together, but definitely chorizo and chili with clams, chicken and shrimps, altogether is NOT an option.

The spanish can be very specific with their cooking Im just saying this because my aunt is spanish and she can get specific when I cook food with her like paella also I have just seen a load of comments saying Gordons recipe is bad and the majority say theyre Spanish (not a racist. I love spain as well as all other countries. Im Irish myself.

Arroz simply means rice in Spanish. That being said, traditionally one would use ROUND rice or SHORT GRAIN rice if you cannot find ROUND rice. Never medium, long or jasmine. Round rice absorbs liquid a bit faster and more thoroughly allowing the bottom of the paella to crisp. Without the sticky crispy bottom, its just not paella.

Im sorry gordon but this is now way a paella. You cant name your video hot to make paella and you are just inventing a rice with things. A tradicional one, that is what you should have done just haves chicken, artichoke, green bean and garrofon a big a bean. There are a lot of delicious combinations in rice but are not paella

Im sorry Gordon, I love you, but that is very wrong, NOTHING to do with paella (flavor or texture. You can eat 50kg of chorizo afterwards, if you like it. But dont throw it on the paella dude. 3: 36 That looks disgusting, worse than the microwave paella we buy at the supermarket. Please delete this video.
