No, sorry, this is way too much.
Grilled cheeses should be simple.
Sourdough bread, fine, but plain white bread or Sheepherder's Bread is also good. A bit of olive oil AND butter for grilling it in. No need for a bunch of seasonings.
Just use plain old Velveta. The brick kind, not slices, so you can get it good and thick. Or the Aldi's knockoff version. Good and gooey. No need for a bunch of fancy stuff. The cheap, processed cheeses always get the right consistency.
Comfort food should be simple and quick as well as tasty. Not something you'd make for a snooty competition.

deglaze the pan. Get all the bits out. See how I didn't waste any of it
Other than the massive chunk of vegetables you left in the corner Yeah didn't waste a thing.
Went on about having a gooey stretchy sandwich with a cheese pull.
Didn't show cheese pull.

The biggest secret to making the perfect grilled cheese is to let the cheese come to room temperature before you cook. Let the cheese sit out on the counter for 24-48 hours before you make the grilled cheese. Melts perfectly every time.

It's just amusing to me that a world-renowned chef capable of making amazing dishes is so completely inept at making a simple grilled cheese sandwich. It's just so beyond him that he doesn't understand it, and it's so funny.

. do people not know what American cheese is made of It's a cheddar byproduct. Not plastic. Not exactly fantastic. But it works very well as intended. I will say that white-american cheese is a much higher quality, though.

Smashing/dicing garlic releases enzymes that convert compounds into beneficial allicin. Letting it sit 5-15 mins maximizes allicin production for better flavor and health benefits before cooking deactivates the enzymes.

Careless to serve us an example of how to let the burners keep burning without anything on then, excessive heat in the kitchen, waste of energy and mostly a safety hazard.

I've been making grilled cheese since 6 and thought it was so easy. I'll always laugh when CHEFS mess up the main part! You need to grill the inside, before adding cheese.

Look at all those ingredients what a pain in the ass. You don’t need all that stuff. Just get a can of soup and 2 pc of bread and butter and a piece of cheese. lol

Richard Blais is showing us how to make a meal. Gordon Ramsay is challenging him to melt the cheese to go along with the roasted tomato soup. It looks delicious

Don’t use Kraft singles cheese that is nothing but preservatives and salt and god knows what else. It’s flammable btw. use real cheddar. Tastes way better.

I would like to point out one egregious mistake Why did you wait to post a video of the perfect cold rainy day comfort food meal at the beginning of spring

Leaving the burner on for the whole beginning of the video is insane. Rich people never thinking about gas prices LOL
Edit: It was on the whole damn video!

STOP CALLING THAT TRASH American cheese. That is garbage cheese no self respecting American would eat. American cheese is sliced at the deli counter

Your video reminds me of my old days when I used to work nine to five at a restaurant in Delaware; now $65k fortnightly, retired my parents and in good health!

How can I trust you to make a grilled cheese when you cant cut bread straight Also it looks a bit burnt. Why is the GC the hardest for real cooks to make

Forbidden Chef Secrets book teaches real techniques. I’ve been using a few tricks from the book lately and the difference in my food is insane.

That sandwich certainly is elevated. thanks to the ridiculously thick slices. A good MELTED grilled cheese is easy. Use thinner bread!
reply

You have to sprinkle garlic powder on the cheese. I'm still disappointed. It's so weird to me how some people are considered chefs.
