idk about other cultures but its common in mexican culture to have mexican sugar bread and cafe de olla meaning coffee from the cooking pot as breakfast in the morning and its really nice!

With the crusts thing, it depends. If it's good bread, of course I'm eating the crust. But bad, yucky store bought bread has gross, bitter crust. You can bet I'm not eating that!
