Made this cake yesterday, it really is delicious! The orange thing is genius. But I have a couple of questions: the ingredients for the maple caramel and the carrot cake are different on the blog than those listed in the videos' descriptions. For the carrot cake, 2 cups 1/2 of flour (video) vs 2 cups of flour (blog) and so on, except for the 5 eggs which were the same. For the caramel 1/2 cup butter (video) against 1 cup (blog) and 1/4 cup of cream vs 1 cup which is quite a difference. I made the recipes with the largest amounts but the cake was really oily, I wanted to know what the correct recipes are. Thanks!

It's a sad reflection of me that what makes me happiest when watching Yo is she pronounces caramel (care-a-mel) the way I would; when I watch Ro(sanna Pansino, she pronounces it like a heathen (like Carmel, like a vroom vroom car) and this is wrong and should be punishable by ten years of Vernacular School, a thing I just invented. I can't compare the stuff Ro makes in any way to the cakes Yo makes, but I can compare pronunciations (she also says, one-fourth of a cup of something, versus a quarter which drives me bonkers. I still love them both, though.

#FANLOVEFEB! Just like i told you in my e-mail, i made this cake for my room-mates birthday. It was in fact my first cake with more layers, fillings, buttercreme and so on and the first of your videos that i ever tried. even though i had a lot of troubles making it and it really didn't look the same it was delicious. everyone praised the cake and enjoyed it a lot - so thank you for your guidance, very detailed videos and instructions and all the other creative ideas i can watch (and be very impressed of) every week!

#fanlovefeb Hey! This is one of my favourite of your cakes (I can't choose! They're all so perfect) Anyways I love the rustic look as well as the caramel (and your caramel voice. I also really love the carrot cake and the delicious fruit! I tried recreating this cake, but I used cream cheese frosting, for thanksgiving combined with my dad's birthday (he loves carrot cake. It was a big hit and cam out great, not as good as yours obviously.

Hi Yo! My grandparents used to live near Amish country in Ohio, and we used to celebrate the beginning of the harvest with a spiced carrot cake: ) My grandpa would burn the caramel every year, but everything still turned out delicious. If my grandpa was still with us, he would have LOVED this cake! Thank you for the happy flashback! #FanLoveFeb

This is my favorite episode because it is so natural and so true to the season. I love carrot cake, caramel, and especially sweets with fruit in them! Not to mention, it literally made my mouth water! Also, I love how you talk to your caramel! Everything about this cake wants me to eat the whole thing! I love it #FANLOVEFEB
