Common Veg Coleslaw with Aaron Craze #02 Deeez: This is great, I put together a store bought version because I wasn't sure how to make it. I did add dried cranberries, walnuts, small slices of green apple and it came out good. But If i follow these fresh instructions along with the added fruit, I'm sure it will be an excellent lunch or quick pick me up. Plus the great thing about coleslaw is the longer you let it sit in the frigde the better it taste, IMO.

So, he makes a what looks like a disaster, eats a spoonful then does not wash the spoon before talking with his mouthful and thus showing everybody the mess that is inside it, then uses the unwashed spoon to stir everything once more. Not in my kitchen. Looks like somebody already punched his lids out. 'nuf sed. plamuk aka travellingchef

The recipe he uses is as follows: two carrots, one yellow onion, about the same amount of red cabbage, 1dL greek yoghurt, tarragon, lemon juice, sumak, salt and pepper. He mentioned that pretty much anything you've in got the bottom of your fridge will work (other kinds of cabbage, and varying amounts of whichever ingredient.

I love how easy he makes this recipe look, but I wish there was perhaps a little more explanation for those of us that are only just learning to cook. I've never even heard of sumac before. where on earth would I get such a thing?

hey, this isn't about high class cooking. this is about cooking for the average person who comes home at 6 or 7 from work, is tired and didn't hit the supermarket, and wants to save a little money by using some leftover produce at home.

There are poisonous varieties we all know about and avoid, but there are also some that are harmless and can be used as a seasoning. Arab cuisine uses it a good bit.

I just made this and it is very fast and easy to make and at the same time great tasting. I eat it with my chicken and it is great! Thank you for this delicious recipe!
