Grenadian Hot Pepper Sauce with Aaron Craze Iain: To someone who is much more used to spicy food, it really isn't that big a deal. Scotch bonnets don't give me any trouble whatsoever - they don't drown out the flavour of everyone, nor do they afflict me with the great ring of fire (not unless I had a hell of a lot, and without much other substantial food. This recipe is for people who can deal with substantial heat without it overwhelming them. :)

i'd recommend trying it with the scotch bonnets first, but hauling out the seeds and any of the light coloured membranes. The problem with substituting for scotch bonnets is that they have a fruitiness that you don't get in less spicy peppers like the jalapeno which i find to have more acidity instead of the sweetness. Maybe hot banana peppers? idunno.

Why do people think that scotch bonnet peppers are so great! This recipe is for someone who wants their ass to burn for two days. Also when you use these peppers it drowns out the flavor of anything you put on it. I like most of your videos but the amount of peppers or ever a third of it will make you miserable the next day.

Hi Aaron! Awesome recipe! I tried this tonight and it tastes incredible! I also made one with blueberry balsamic and pears and cilantro. fabulous chili sauce. Thanks so much for this recipe!

I may try this recipe but will certainly ditch the scotch for another brand of pepper. maybe jalapenos and ordinary red chilis? Scotches are hot as the dickens, man. :)

They got good flavour. And kind of a peppery bite. You can also take them out, dry them and grind them like black pepper. They're milder and more exotic to the taste

They are very delicious but most people throw them away. They have a little bit of heat like nasturtium and are perfect in tomato sauces and salats etc: )
