Sometimes I really wonder where so-called celebrity chefs get their information from and how their brains get full of incorrect information. According to his latest deliverance, a sweet potato is healthier than a regular potato. Sorry to dissolution anybody but here are the facts; MEDIUM SIZED SWEET POTATO Sugar = 13 grams Carbs = 24 grams Protein = 2 grams MEDIUM REGULAR POTATO Sugar = 2 grams Carbs = 37 grams Protein = 5 grams Sorry, but I just remembered that he cheated while going through culinary classes in London, including and especially his finals when he and a partner had other people make things such as bread and they purchased jam from a store then presented everything as their own creations, and he has never read a book because he is dyslexic. All statements came from Oliver himself. 'nuf sed. plamuk aka travellingchef

i recreated those nuggets and i gotta say, im disappointed. I was expecting it to taste many times better than the pre packed stuff. And what i got is slightly better tasting nuggets. The texture is slightly better and the meat is more juicy. And that's it. Atleast its cheaper and more healthy than the pre packed stuff. I got 1 kg of chicken breasts for 5 (it was a nice sale) and the corn for 2. Flour and eggs are a few cents. The pre packed stuff costs about 3-4 for 250g.

#1. Cut your chicken strips diagonally for a better release of meat flavor. #2. Marinade your chicken strips in egg (with starch and other secret ingredients) at least a half-hour before coating them in whatever. #3. After coating, let the strips sit in a fridge for 15 minutes to ensure the coating strongly adheres to the meat. #4. DEEP-FRY. #5 I'll hook your kids on my recipe faster than a McDonald's or Pizza Hut. #6 Did I mention they're healthy?

I like Jamie but people who don't know anything about nutrition and health should really stop telling people which foods are healthy and super foods, and which foods are bad for you. Regular potatoes are very healthy, and swapping them for sweet potatoes are not necessarily going to be healthier. The unhealthy part of this recipe would be the breading of the chicken, not potatoes.

OK seriously, I've made these twice. Once for my boyfriend and myself, and once for a family Thanksgiving dinner. They're SO good! Everyone loves them - kids, teenagers, and adults! Everyone thinks the recipe is super complicated and they're really impressed. But it's really not that difficult! Thanks so much, Jamie. This is one of my new favorite recipes.

Must ask is it best to make these up in-cooked and freeze or cook then freeze? Me and my daughter love em and she took some to school last week her friends weren't allowed any but they ate my Julienned carrot sticks etc though so I'm getting them to eat good stuff although ive always been a bit of a chef.

Screw this better for you crap. What good is life if you have to watch every single move you make, never be indulgent, and then have to live an extra five years on top of that? Also, I would have expected something more than just mere corn flakes and egg to make chicken nuggets. Jamie Oliver sucks.
